Papírtigris Sushi & Wok Bar — Restaurant in Budapest

We were at the restaurant week before, and had a great experience with fast, cheap and good food.

This time however was the total opposite. They had half the drinks on the menu not there, and I had to reorder 3 times since they didn't have the ingredients. Followed from that the beer was served warm and after an hour of waiting we got cold miso soups. My family ordered burgers which only after 1 and a half hours were served when we asked and without cutlery. In the restaurant they had a loud phone ringing in the background for their calls.

The sushi was uneven and not fresh as well, and I was told it didn't taste good either. I am gluten free and I ordered a gluten free labelled dish but had to get another one since it still contained gluten. The burger buns were uncooked partially and the fries were cold.

Visited on a Monday evening. The place was empty and cold. The waiting staff was nice and promt to respond. Many of the items have cream cheese, which was odd. Some of the rolls were not the freshest, but were not bad either. When I wanted to pay, I told the waiter that I want to add a tip, while paying with card. He promptly updated the amount, but only after payment I realised that a service charge was already included in the bill. So, I ended up paying more than 25% in tips. I highlighted this to our waiter and he just shrugged it off as our loss. Overall wouldn't have been super expensive, but the ending definitely left a bad taste...

We had dinner at this place, and although I am not a big sushi fan I liked it. The service we've received was very good too. After dinner, my credit card fell out of my wallet, and I left it there. The waitress we had for that night, Anikó Tóth found it and she took the effort to look for me on on social media by the name on my card. She found me and let me know that I've lost my card, which I did not realize by the time. I have rarely experienced this kind of kindness and effort in my life.
