Hello everyone!!

We just want to send some feedbacks from our visit at Saturday Evening.

At first we arrived 15 minutes earlier than our reservation. For this reason we were seated at the bar, “so order a drink and your table would be ready soon.” After 25 minutes, however, it was not clear whether our table was still being prepared or if we had been forgotten. After finishing our drinks, the bartender politely asked us if we wanted more drinks, which led to our questions, that we would like to, but that we were still waiting for our table. He looked surprised, as did the hostess, who arrived shortly after with the question "would you like to have dinner?" Of course we answered immediately. Finally, we were seated at a table that had been prepared when we arrived early at the restaurant. Unfortunately, from that moment on we could not shake the feeling that we were not very welcome there. Probably we did not look a like couple who can spend some money. Could have been just misunderstanding from our side that created this weird situation🤷‍♂️

We were taken care of throughout the evening by a young lady who was really nice but unfortunately not very experienced. Everyone has to learn their job somewhere, but I would not expect this in a Michelin star restaurant. It may just be our perspective, but throughout the evening there were several imperfections that should not be present at this level of restaurant. The overall impression was positive despite all these “imperfections”.

Food was delicious, especially side dishes to main courses! Cocktails on bar were also outstanding ! We were little bit dissapointed in beef tartare. Not so flavourfull as we were expecting. Onion mayonnaise was a bit too agressiv and overpowering whole tartare.

In the end, we were charged an appetizer for 4 on the bill, even though we only had an appetizer for 2, but since they forgot to add cocktails from the bar to our bill (which we reminded the staff after checking the bill which we paid already), we were told not to worry about it.

So our overall impression is mixed. Not negative, but not super positive either. We will definitely give the restaurant another chance, we believe that this was just an exception and next time it will confirm why they are Michelin...

I recently visited this bar with multicultural guests and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the plus side, the drinks were excellent, and the view was beautiful, so I’d still recommend it to friends for those reasons alone. However, there were some disappointing aspects of the service that really stood out.

For starters, despite only speaking English, we kept receiving Hungarian menus and being spoken to in Hungarian, even though the bar wasn’t very crowded. It felt like our language preference should have been easy to remember. The staff would also often gather in little circles to chat, which made it frustratingly difficult to get their attention; it sometimes took up to 10 waves before anyone noticed us.

Additionally, the bathroom had run out of towels, and despite us being there for three hours, they were never restocked. Another issue was the attitude of the hostess, which felt somewhat judgmental. My guests weren’t Hungarian, and we were a younger group, so I couldn’t shake the feeling that these factors affected how we were treated. It’s disappointing since other premium bars/restaurants, like the Duchess, make all guests feel equally welcome and respected, regardless of age or nationality. Not to mention that when I was here with a group of older Hungarian gentlemen, we were treated VERY differently.

Overall, this bar has great potential, but it could benefit from improvements in service quality and attentiveness to...

Well, there are a few things about this place! The restaurant itself, the service ( thank you András🙏) and the view, are all wonderful, but… I made a reservation a month ago for a special occasion with a specific notice that should be a table with a view, and yes we got it! …just was on the very corner of the other side of the restaurant, just next to an open kitchen. I would expect a better table as we booked it very well in advance. The food is nothing special, I had the steak which was kind of average the only enjoyable dish was the side dish of my steak(for a price of 54€) the potatoes and the peas in the soups were uncooked. My son’s Wiener schnitzel was terrible dry, unsalted (we had no salt and pepper on the table) and actually no taste and the salad came with it had the same uncooked potatoes. My husband ordered a wild meat dish which was really not so tasty (the sauce had an aftertaste like it was made of some kind of ready to be cooked powder) And also be aware of the sommelier (Mihály)! I ordered a glass of champagne which was listed on the menu for a price of 3700 ft (about 10€) but for a reason on the final bill was charged 14800 (about 45€) The expectation was different but overall experience was okay, I hope that our feedback is considered as a “room for improvement” and not a negative feedback! Maybe we...
