Tejivó-Salátabár — Restaurant in Győri járás

This is what I imagine canteen food in factories in Hungary tasted like in the 1970's and 1980's but a more bland version of it.

Thankfully in the 1970's and 1980's they didn't use microwaves so it was also more nutritious (looking at old photos from that bygone era most Hungarians had better skin and were more attractive than they are now).

The table cloths aren't washed for many weeks (maybe even a couple of months) which is another feature that attracts flies and other crawling and flying insects (free extra protein anyone?).

Györ locals (perhaps due to the proximity to Slovakia and Austria) seem not to be fond of paprika and other condiments (this is luckily not the case in Szeged, Pecs and Budapest where paprika and other herbs are used regularly) so bring your own herbs and spices if you are actually fond of Hungarian Cuisine.

There are flies flying around and landing on the food before it is served but it doesn't seem to bother the thousands of loyal customers who line up (often for a whole hour).

The vegetarian options are extremely limited and the small salad bowl has as much sugar mixed into it as you will typically find in a half kilo cake.

And yes, it is cheap (on average by 10% - 15% compared to other food venues around town). I guess you figured that...

Korábban elég negatív véleményt írtam, mert mind a makaróni, mind a lasagne minőségével probléma volt, azokat nem is mernék újra enni náluk. Viszont azóta többször is ettem mást, és egész finom kajákat, jó áron. Én 800-1000 Ft körül jól tudok lakni náluk. És továbbra is kb az egyetlen hely, ahol 2h után is van normális meleg kaja a belvárosban normál áron. Bár azt még mindig tartom, hogy kicsit egyhangú a választék, ha már sokszor ettél náluk unalmas. Korábban: Amiatt szoktam néha ide jönni, mert relatíve későn is lehet itt ebédelni (3-4h fele is), viszont az ételeikkel nem vagyok megelégedve. Nem túl változatos a választék és gyönge minőségű ételeket főznek. Pl. makaróni és lasagna után is...

Sajnos rossz tapasztalatokkal rendelkezem, bár az ételek finomak, viszont a kiszolgálás illetve az azt követő fizetésnél több ízben a következőket tapasztaltam.... Kolléganőmmel ott fogyasztásnál ugyanazt az ételt ettük, viszont én kisebb adagot kértem, sajnos többet fizettem, mint a Kolléganőm a nagyobb adagért. A mai nap szintén bementünk ebédért amit elhozatalra kértünk (vittünk dobozt is) ugyan úgy egyforma ételt kértünk Kolléganőmmel, én ismét kevesebb mennyiséget (láthatóan és súlyilag is mérhető volt a különbség) kértem, és a fizetésnél én ismét többet fizettem, mint a nagyobb mennyiségű ételt kérő Kolléganőm (mondhatni nem is...
