Szilfa Étterem — Restaurant in Hajdúszoboszlói járás

We made a reservation for 7 people and when we arrived there were no tables available. We were told to wait another 10 minutes for a table to clear. 10 min turned into 20. 20 into 30. All while we were staying outside in the cold - 3 Celsius.

After about 35 minutes we were finally given a table. I ordered a goulash and found a larva in my bowl (picture attached). I showed the waiter and he promptly took it away. A few minutes later another waiter came and told us that never happened before and what we saw wasn't a larva, it was just something from a vegetable (please see the picture and decide for yourself). So even though 7 people saw a larva they said it wasn't. Ok.

Then another person from our table noticed their duck breast smelled really bad. Like feces. We asked the waiter if it smelled strange to him but he ignored us and just took it away.

In the end they didn't charge us for the goulash but charged us for the duck breast.

Long review alert :) I went there with my friends (made a reservation in advance) but when we got there the table was unavailable. The waiter told us to wait outside for 5-10 minutes until the persons at our table left. We ended up staying in cold weather for half an hour. After all of this, one of my friend ordered a goulash and found a larva in it. The response from the waiter was that „this never happened before and it certainly isn't a larva” although it was. Then something started to smell really bad and realized it was my dish (duck with noodles and Chinese spices). It was a smell that a duck should never smell in your plate (like actually sh**). When I asked the waiter to smell it too he just ignored us and leave. They did not charge us for the goulash my friend had, but for the smelly duck we had to pay. Really encouraging you not to go there. Just 5 min walk away is a really really good traditional restaurant that we ended up...

I went over the menu. There were 3 steaks and I ordered a rib eye steak. Price in the menu is 4500 HUF, roughly 11 Euros for 100 gram. I ordered potato fries with ketch up and mayonnaise as side dish. I thought it may not be enough, so I ordered a soup. When I asked for the payment, the price of the steak was 18.000 HUF, 44 Euros. When I asked the reason for it, they said it is 400 gram. That is why, the price is 18000 HUF. I was not asked or informed about the weight of the steak. I would not simply order it. Also, the quality for such a price is completely undeserved. The meat was full nurveous. I had to remove a quarter of the meat. What they do is robbery.
