The cakes were like nothing I've had here in Iceland so far. The strawberry cake was unlike anything you would expect. Layer after layer of beautifully crafted heaven. The quiche was delicious; soft, flakey, flavorful. My wife and I were blown away. Every single restaurant or care we have eaten at has been expensive compared to the United States and other European countries. The reviews that rated poorly with only that as their reasoning are doing a huge disservice to others looking for a great place to dine.

This place is awesome. A local haven. Met the chef/owner he was funny and charming, had all the guests laughing. I think some of the negative reviews are from people with no sense of humor. I came in and asked for breakfast, he said, “breakfast! It’s 2:30!” I laughed because he was quite charming. Thank you for the meal and the atmosphere. Something you don’t get much of in Iceland.

Stopped here during shopping and had a wonderful slice of cake and a coffee. Owner was so welcoming and his cakes were amazing.

That rainy Monday morning, I had been subjected to inhumane treatment at the hotel and received an unsolicited and oh so wrong sidewalk consultation on my mental health from a not so honorable police officer. I wasn't expecting much at the Cafe Milano. The service was prompt, the dining room was clean and comfortable and the coffee was really good. When I walked to the register for a refill, a gentleman said I did not have to pay for a refill. The presentation of the coffee, milk, water and condiments was tasteful. There were some regulars there and as lunch time approached, they got busier. I was fasting that day so I can't comment on their food. When I was leaving, one female employee grabbed a cleaning bottle and started re-cleaning the glass from the door she had cleaned moments before. Given my recent experiences, I want people cleaning or with cleaning devices to stay very far away from me. I visited the women's restroom a couple of times while at the Cafe and it was always clean and...
