Saffran — Restaurant in Reykjavik

Not reviewing their food, as we didn't get any. Their Piri piri sauce is great though. Some customer had several coupons and it took 3 staff members to work out his issues. After 10 minutes the 4th came and had his eyes on the floor while he asked the person behind me what she wanted. I told him I was next, and he ignored me and asked for her name(takeaway). I waved the menu in front of his face and told him I am next. He never once looked up and said he was sorry and asked what I wanted. I asked for their piri piri chicken and he asked me twice if I wanted it as a meal... I added a pizza and he ran to the kitchen and asked how long the wait was and returned to me and said the wait is 50 minutes for the pizza... I was already too annoyed after this so we left. Anyhow, avoid if you're planning to enjoy a nice evening at rush hour. I have no doubts the food there is tasty, but I don't think I'll go there in...

We called at 20:15 to ask if we could come with our children to dine in, knowing that the restaurant closes at 21:00. The person who answered assured us that it would be fine as long as we arrived by 20:45.

We arrived on time, and I was standing at the bar placing our order at exactly 20:41. However, we were then told that they couldn’t take our order because they were closing in 20 minutes.

This was very disappointing, especially after we confirmed over the phone. We chose this place specifically based on the information we were given. I hope the management will improve their communication and customer service...

Very tasty, nice portioned food.

We ordered 2 x “The Cyclists Dish”, which came with a naan and a bottle of pop. This came to about £50 for the both of us including delivery to our hotel.

The food was very nice, it doesn’t look like much but very filling and flavourful meal, will definitely be ordering from here again if we get...
