On a late Saturday night, around 10 PM, we were in search of a good tiffin spot in Kanyakumari near the sea shore when we stumbled upon Hotel Saravana. It came recommended as a place serving tasty food, and we decided to give it a try. We ordered Dosa and Vegetable Biryani, and to their credit, the food was served promptly, considering the closing time was nearing. However, we found the prices to be on the higher side.
It's worth noting that Kanyakumari being a tourist place, the higher prices were not limited to Hotel Saravana alone; we observed similar pricing trends in other restaurants we visited. While the taste of the food was satisfactory, we couldn't help but feel that the prices didn't quite justify the overall experience. It would have been more enjoyable if the prices were more reasonable, given the average quality of the food.
Interestingly, we noticed a few small Kerala shops in the vicinity that served similar tasty food at a lower price. However, the issue of hygiene arose with these establishments, which made us opt for Hotel Saravana instead. It's essential to prioritize hygiene and cleanliness, especially when dining out, to ensure a pleasant and safe experience.
In summary, Hotel Saravana in Kanyakumari provided us with quick service and tasty food, but we found the prices to be higher than expected. While there were alternative options with lower prices available, we opted for Hotel Saravana due to concerns regarding hygiene. If you're willing to pay a premium for convenience and hygiene, it could be a suitable choice. However, if you're more budget-conscious and willing to explore other options, you might find similar tasty food at lower prices elsewhere...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Hotel Saravana in Kanyakumari, conveniently located on Sannathi Street near the Bhagavathy Amman Temple. This vegetarian restaurant offers a diverse menu that caters to both South and North Indian palates.
I began my meal with a plate of noodles, which were well-cooked and seasoned, providing a delightful start. The Channa Masala stood out with its rich, spicy gravy and perfectly cooked chickpeas, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors. Accompanying these were freshly made naan and chapathi, both soft and ideal for savoring the flavorful curries.
To complement the meal, I opted for a fresh juice. The beverage was refreshing and served promptly, adding a pleasant touch to the dining experience.
The restaurant's ambiance is clean and welcoming, with attentive staff ensuring a comfortable dining environment. While some patrons have noted that prices can be on the higher side compared to other local eateries, the quality and variety of dishes offered justify the cost. It's worth noting that the restaurant has both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned seating areas, with the former being slightly more expensive . Tripadvisor

Read moreFirst of all, don't get fooled by seeing the warm light ambience. They are purposely doing this to attract customers and mostly tourists from Kerala are ones getting trapped. My family and i had dinner there and we got lucky that we didn't got stomach pain after eating from here. We ordered a noodles, pulav, paneer and veg biriyani. I think they make noodles in oil instead of water because the oil was dripping from the noodles. Paneer was alright but small portion. When I asked for tomato sauce they gave me a rotten one which taste like puke 🤢. The food was really pricey and also it didn't match with the quality and quantity of the food. We are utterly disappointed that we went there because it was near the hotel we stayed. MOST OF ALL The waiter where standing beside us without giving us any privacy and looking at us. We politely asked him to leave us alone and he didn't listened so we didn't gave him any tip.
In conclusion, never go to this hotel. This will ruin your day in kanyakumari. It's damn pricey and doesn't meet price standards.
They also have a branch near this hotel so watch out for that one too because that hotels menu is same but price is increased. In simple don't visit HOTEL SARAVANA in KANYAKUMARI. There are other hotels that provide good food compared to this hell. So guys...
