The Curry — Restaurant in Agastheeswaram

So.. this review is not about food. It's about how they treat customers. They won't tell you upfront how long is the wait time to get a table. We were group of 4. We were told to wait for a particular table to be made available. Later, the manager came and informed us we have to to wait longer as they gonna give us a different table. After 30 minutes we got the table. And now more than 1 hour of wait's time to get the food. The gentleman who attended our table said roti and curry will be brought together as roti will not be hot if we bring earlier. We got the curry after multiple follow ups but not the roti. That took its own sweet time to get delivered. So, this is not the place to go if you are in hunger, or if you have elderly people with you or if you value time too much to spend just by checking up on when the food will arrive for 60+ minutes. Did we enjoy the food ? NO. We were tired and after 90 minutes. Treating customer well is equally important as the food. PS- they did apologize to us for the delay. By far the worst restaurant experience in my life! This review is based on the dining experience dated 23rd July 2024. My family of four members went to the restaurant after checking the Google reviews. We had ordered below items: Baby Corn 65 (super salty and deep fried red!) Cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup: these were thick and sweet gelatinous(read extra arrowroot) concoction of sorts! Chicken Maharani: sweet gravy lacking flavour or body(abominable!!) Veg Manchurian : veg balls in a chutney kind of gravy laden with sweet sauce Plain Paratha: they served laccha paratha instead of plain paratha and insisted that was their version of plain paratha!!

Ambience:Half the AC's were dysfunction and whatever was working, water was dripping from it !

Service: Random people moving inside the restaurant and the waiters didn't understand the concept of finger bowl.

Clearly the management is running the show with road side cooks and waiters from the fly by night roadside dhabas. Appalling to say the least!

The Google ratings are misleading and appears to be paid.

Disappointing and Unorganized Dining Experience

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that things were unorganized. They completely messed up my order and even missed a few items. What made it worse was the lack of coordination—no one seemed to know which waiter was assigned to which table. I had to call the waiter three times just to follow up on a missing order, which I eventually had to cancel. The food did not live up to the hype from YouTube reviews. The Chicken Dum Biryani was extremely dry and lacked salt. While the Dragon Chicken was passable, it was far from impressive, and the Pepper Chicken tasted like a completely different dish than what I expected. Given their prime location in Kanyakumari, the parking situation was also subpar, and to top it all off, the prices were way too high for such a below-average dining experience. Overall, I might only consider returning if they make serious improvements. For now, I would recommend not going by YouTube...
