The ONLY(and I mean absolute only) reason it's a 4 is because this is a family restaurant they operate literally inside their family kitchen, and the mother does all the cooking. So, the food takes a while to be made because there is literally one person. However, EVERYTHING else is amazing. Because it is a home restaurant, they are able to customize every last thing from spiciness levels, to adding extra spices (I recommend cinnamon or a bit of cardamom in the rice pudding 🤌), and so much more. The son, Daniyal, also does some amazing tours we got to do with him, so ask him about that if you are interested! We went twice in 2 days and it was sooooo good! The first night, we got lassi, chai, chicken biriyani, vegetarian kofta, naan, and papaya custard. The kofta was soooo yummy! The biriyani is a huge portion, so come hungry. The second night, we got half tandoori chicken, plain rice, 2 orders of naan, Shahi paneer (oh my word- amazing), honey pancake (thin like a crêpe), and rice pudding. Everything you can tell has soooooo much love going into it. The family is all so kind. I recommend eating at this place if you only have a night or two in Agra....
Read moreTried this place after reading so many good reviews and I'm glad we did. We've been there thrice. They have some really good home cooked food. I went there with my family and everyone loved it. Food was not at all spicy and it was so fresh, simple yet delicious. Good for the tummy. They prepare the dishes freshly as soon as you order. We asked them for spicy mutton curry and they made it specially for us. The owners are very sweet and made us feel at home. We had veg Thali, chicken curry, banana custard, mutton curry (loved it), veg sandwiches (we ordered this everytime, so light and yummy), mughlai dal (loved). I can't remember the other food items that we ordered but we liked it all. They use less spice, so if you want the food to be more spicy you can ask them. Apart from food, we found out that the owner's son is a guide, so we hired him for Taj. He guided us well and thanks to him no one...
Read moreWe went to this place after seeing the pictures and reviews of the place. In the pictures it was shown beautiful well lit open air restaurant. But when we went there the place was a mess. The ground floor was under construction or some kind of cleaning was going on and when we went to the first floor there was seating available only for three parties. We ordered some food as we were starving and tired from the heat. The service was really slow, because it was a homecooked kinda place and there was only a single person in the kitchen, which we came to realise only after ordering it. The food was fresh and homemade, but was quite expensive for the amount, service and quality. For some parathas, dal-rice and juice we paid around 800 rupees. For a home-cooked meal the simplicity and decent pricing are important. While quality was ok the prices were like that of big 3 star restaurants with...
