Read moreI have been to Pind Balluchi in Delhi couple of times and loved the food there so with same expectations I stepped into the one in Agra.
The setup of the restaurant is nice and rustic. Gives a village like feel with huge artificial tree right in middle of restaurant. Spacious and comfortable seating.
The food is mainly North Indian so ordered for Murg Malai Tikka. It has good in quantity and chicken was well marinated and cooked soft. Side we ordered Masala Papad and it was small in size and not like the punjabi papad, also it was just okay, could have been better. For Chaas thyme serve huge glass of masala Chaas but guess forgot to add salt and it tasted bland so after adjusting salt it was nice. Main course was Chicken Rahra with pain crispy tandoori roti and garlic naan. The biggest disappointment was the chicken, had off taste, probably was old and preserved and the masala felt like it was raw and not cooked thoroughly. We complained about it and we were offered promptly a replacement which we declined and instead ordered for yellow dal tadka. The dal also has salt missing so after adding the same it tasted Okay. The dal was thick and well cooked. Roti was hot and crisp and naan was well made. Finished the meal with Malai Kulfi and it was the best part of my meal. Well balanced Kulfi with creamy texture. Overall for me ambience was good, service was fast while food was just okay enough. For the price I paid, I felt it should have been much better food.
I understand food and hence knew Chaas and Dal has less seasoning and corrected it but for others they might not even know what is wrong with their food so restaurant has to take care of...
