worst experience in my life. Had taken APTDC 1 day VIP darshan package from bangalore. This was the restaurant where we were provided breakfast and lunch as part of package tour. The restaurant is in shambles. The food served is so bad that you cannot have more than one mouthful. They collect 2350/- from each passenger. They cannot provide disposable spoons and containers. All food is put on one plate. So you have idlies, vadas mixed with pongal and sambar and chutney. Are we cows or crows to eat mixed food like this. If APTDC cannot afford spoons and small bowls they could inform us in advance we would brought along with us. The used plates cleaning is using new technology. The food is served on a plate lined with banana leaf. After you have food you hand over the used plate to the cleaner standing there. She pushes the banana leaf with leftover food to a big blue drum. Next the plate is dipped in another blue drum with water. Voila, the plate is now clean and ready for use. The washrooms are another story, it looks straight out of prisoners toilets in jail. The footwear deposit room is another wonderful place here. The building itself is so bad that only solution is to demolish it. Period. I wonder why this is continued even now after so many bad reviews. Somebody is hell bent on spoiling APTDC name. I have earlier taken ITDC and KSTDC packages and the food was provide in decent hotels and were quite good. Since there was no seats i took this APTDC package now regretting. Take APTDC package if you want...

I went from Bengaluru to tirupati and reached at AP tourism Restaurant at 5:30 am and it was pitch dark seemed like it is a hunted building but soon light were switched on at 6:00 am.

Breakfast was ready and buffet table was properly arranged serving by 07:00 am and the crowd of 200 waiting for breakfast in hall was also ready to make buffet counter as buffalo counter, soon queue of 200 were with there plates. Breakfast options were like Idli, vada, sambar, chutney and Pongal(khicdi) Conclusion: 1. it is a crowded place, with good amount of table and chairs but the crowd to chair ratio is not adequate It has good taste food I have heard that tirupati temple closes for 2 hours daily the why this place closes, A P Tourism Restaurant gives service, and providing services is like war- well planned, no mistake and 24x7 ready for duty.

Feedback on Poor Experience at Tirumala Restaurant

Better to eat TTD prasadam

Dear AP Tourism Department,

I would like to formally escalate my concerns regarding a disappointing experience at a restaurant in Tirumala.

During my recent visit, I ordered two meals and curd rice for my family, and I found the food quality and taste to be substandard. Additionally, none of the air conditioning units were operational, the tables were very old, and the washrooms were not clean. The entry to the restaurant was also poorly maintained.

It seems that the restaurant takes advantage of the fatigue of devotees, assuming that they will not question the quality of the service. I urge you to look into this matter and consider advising others to be cautious about dining there.
