Sree Tirumala Kashi Math — Attraction in Andhra Pradesh

Referring Kashimutt TIRUMALA: (referring my stay in May 2017)

PROS: Building / Rooms have been renovated in comparison to my last stay in 2011 (which was a bad experience). This time rooms / bathroom fittings looked new. Water cooler (drinking water) have been installed in each floor. Hot water geysers are installed in the rooms. Renovation is 90% done with little work still left. Manager was courteous and helpful. Didnt try out the food here and hence no observations to share on that. Location is excellent with Mutt being very much close to the back gate of temple complex and close by to Woodside Restaurant, also couple of ATMs in the vicinity. Museum is walkable if you have some extra time. Way to Srivari Padalu is also next to the building.

Very few CONs - the blanket didnt seem fresh. No towels provided but thats ok as we carried our own (and its not a motel, its a mutt). Non-Konkani / Non-GSBs people also stay (but its better than leaving the room vacant + extra revenue for renovation). Rooms are Non-A/c and thats fine for Tirumala, read about Kashi mutt in Tirupati having a/c rooms but I prefer staying atop the hill so that you retire to the room immediately after the heckling & tiresome darshan :-)

TO CONCLUDE: A good accommodation for a short stay. Just ensure you books the rooms atleast 1-2 weeks in advance. Last but not the least, why stay elsewhere when we have our community Mutt :-)

We have told wait nearly for an hour to get the room key. I have booked the room in advance still i has to wait the manager manually note down the adhaar number for each member.

Rooms was not that much hygienic.

Felt like hospital/Hostel beds

Food is good but very limited not sufficient for a person eating average food.

Morning 7.30 Tea got finished.

Hot water was available which was good.

Charging 300 per person in a room we were 3 adults. So charged 900/-

Kashi mutt not giving priority to GSB people don't know the thought process behind this.

I saw a lot more open beds with a lot of families sleeping in an open space in 3rd Floor near to Food area where i really felt what is the need of this money where your mutt will be rated as an average. Stop giving this open space beds in Kashi mutt.

Long wait to check in and hand over the room keys.

Food and drinks tastes good but they cook in very limited quantity. Average quality food.

3.No shelf, No wardrobe in rooms. But rooms are hygienic.

The drinking water can is always empty.

5.Man sitting in the office behaves rudely and arrogantly to the people.

No computerised programs.

The idle workers who don't do any favours ask money without any hesitation.

The building has its own WiFi but hey don't share password even though enquired.

9.Rude and arrogant behaviour of whole management.

Water scarcity in bathrooms.

Roadside parking.

Common bathrooms have below average hygiene.

In a nutshell- till now and then I recommend not...
