Review of Ananda Bhavan, Tirupati Ananda Bhavan in Tirupati is a popular vegetarian restaurant that serves authentic South Indian cuisine and offers a wholesome dining experience for both locals and visitors. Located conveniently near the town’s key attractions and transit hubs, it is a go-to spot for those seeking traditional flavors in a clean and welcoming environment. Ambiance and Atmosphere The ambiance of Ananda Bhavan is simple, clean, and functional. The restaurant focuses more on delivering quality food than elaborate decor, which works well for its primary audience of pilgrims and travelers. The dining area is spacious, with comfortable seating arrangements, making it ideal for families and groups. Despite the constant crowd, the restaurant maintains a tidy and well-organized atmosphere, which adds to the overall experience. Food and Menu Ananda Bhavan is best known for its authentic South Indian fare, including dosa, idli, vada, pongal, and thali meals. The food is freshly prepared, and the flavors are true to tradition. The highlight for many is their Tamil Nadu-style meals, served on a banana leaf (during lunch hours), which includes rice, sambar, rasam, vegetables, curd, and papadam. The unlimited servings and the homely taste make it a fulfilling meal for any hungry traveler. The breakfast menu is a favorite, offering soft idlis, crispy masala dosas, and flavorful chutneys paired with aromatic filter coffee—a must-try for coffee lovers. In addition to South Indian dishes, the menu also includes North Indian and Chinese options, catering to diverse palates. However, the South Indian dishes are where Ananda Bhavan truly shines. Service and Hospitality The staff at Ananda Bhavan are courteous, efficient, and attentive to the needs of customers. Despite the large crowds, particularly during weekends and festival seasons, the service is quick and well-coordinated. The staff is adept at managing the rush, ensuring that tables are cleaned promptly and orders are served without unnecessary delays. Cleanliness and Hygiene Ananda Bhavan takes hygiene seriously, which is particularly important for a restaurant catering to pilgrims. The dining area, kitchen, and restrooms are well-maintained, which is commendable considering the high footfall. The use of fresh ingredients and clean preparation methods reflects in the taste and quality of the food. Affordability and Value for Money The pricing at Ananda Bhavan is reasonable, offering excellent value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of food is consistently high. Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast or a hearty meal, the restaurant provides a satisfying experience without straining your wallet. Overall Experience Ananda Bhavan in Tirupati is a dependable choice for anyone looking to enjoy delicious vegetarian food in a clean and comfortable setting. While the restaurant can get crowded during peak hours, the efficient service and quality of food more than make up for it. Its convenient location, coupled with its commitment to authentic flavors and good hospitality, makes it a must-visit for pilgrims and tourists alike. In conclusion, Ananda Bhavan stands out as a place where tradition meets quality, making it a culinary highlight in Tirupati. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, it promises a memorable dining experience.

The restaurant offers a wonderful ambience with a neatly designed dining area that feels both elegant and welcoming. The interiors are tastefully decorated, lighting is soothing, and the seating is arranged with enough space for privacy and comfort. The overall atmosphere is calm, making it perfect for families, friends. I was very disappointed with the poori I was served. Instead of being soft, fluffy, and light, it came out flat, hard, and crispy like a papad. It lacked freshness and tasted more like an over-fried snack than a proper poori. Poori is expected to be warm, puffed, and enjoyable with curry, but this one completely missed the mark. The pongal was very tasty – soft, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, making it a satisfying dish. However, the coconut chutney was stale, which spoiled the overall experience. The coffee was excellent – rich in aroma, perfectly brewed, and well-balanced in taste. It had just the right strength with a smooth finish, making it refreshing and satisfying. The toilets are well-maintained, clean, and hygienic, which is definitely a plus. However, they are located quite far from the dining area, which makes it inconvenient—especially for ladies during the night.

Just one liner - If you have all the time in the world to waste you can opt this place for simple eat. Service is very very bad and slow Waiting time to get the seat is 10-15mins. And to take a order 10-15mins and they don't know whats available in the kitchen after 10mins they'll say dish is over Again 5mins to take next order and it continues. Had a very challenging in ordering simple Idiyaappam, Pongal and Ghee roast Finally we wanted to have coffee to finish, again they confirmed three time Whether you need coffee or not . This is not only to me, throughout all the table this happened and literally ppl waiting for their next food wth dry hands. Nothing to blame the waitress also, they seems to be all womens deployed and they are new to this job. Took around 5mins to even swipe the card and get paid my bill 😔😒😨 Almost spent 1hr 15mins to eat simple dinner. All this on Monday night not Even on peak hours or weekends. Apart from these, They have spacious parking, separate queue for online orders / take away parcel service. Juices, Chat items, Chinese, North Indian dishes Only thing is you need full of patience and not hungry mode.

Why A2B still operating when they can’t provide quality food for the price tag first we have to beg them to take order but so expensive (we can call our self posh beggars in A2B) hardly we can find staff but in one corner I saw many staff who is living in there own world. We have ordered masala rava dosa which was not at all rava dosa, a road side shop makes better dosa then A2B, they charged 170 and served one hour before made dosa. Chutney is hell with raw smell, masala may made in morning and same keep till evening (ice cold). Then they call S. fried rice only Rs. 240/-which is not a fried rice They can rename them to chilli powder rice.

Sambar vada soaked in water before dropping into Sambar (so A2B only can call them as sambar).

I usually eat one meal at least in PS4 whenever i visit tirumala. I strongly recommend to avoid A2B and have your food at PS4.

Strange is: I called manager to express my disappointment, the manager simple said, we follow the formula to make food ( they didn’t received any complaint about the food from any dinners so far. Ayoooo big joke) but why it’s 3.5 (any restaurant falls under 4 star rating will be average as per Bengaluru market) star at google review. So that means A2B thinking them self they are the best, manager and supervisor on the floor not accepting the complaint (well trained by A2B). They are very rude too…, whatever you saw. Answer is simple. Following formula…., following formula…., following formula. Pay the bill coz we follow formula. If you think I am write fake review. A2B kindly open your CCTV back up of 30/06/2025, go through around 10 pm clips of table number 48 or 47.

Many of my friends in Bengaluru told don’t eat in A2B, now I knew the reason.

If you are in Tirupathi. Want to have veg food then close your eyes...

⭐ 1-Star Review for A2B – Srinivasa Nagar, Tirupati

We absolutely love A2B – especially the outlets in Bangalore, where the food, service, and overall atmosphere are fantastic. That’s exactly why we decided to visit the Srinivasa Nagar outlet in Tirupati — but honestly, this was a huge disappointment.

We didn’t even get to eat.

Here’s what happened:

• A section of the restaurant was blocked off for someone who apparently knew the owner. We don’t mind that — they’re the owner’s friends, fine. But there was no board or notice saying the area was restricted. We simply walked in thinking it was open.

• A server there rudely told us there were no servers in that area. He could have just said it politely, but chose to speak in a disrespectful tone instead. That’s basic hospitality, completely missing here.

• We were then told to move to another table, but that seat was torn and shabby. When my father mentioned it wasn’t good, another staff member again rudely told us to go sit “at the end.” The tone was dismissive, like we were a nuisance.

• We asked to speak to the manager — if he even was the real manager — and he just muttered some half-hearted excuse and didn’t even try to make things right.

It’s not about being treated like VIPs — it’s about basic courtesy. There was zero customer service, zero respect. If you’re a vegetarian food chain that’s known for tradition and hospitality, this kind of service is completely unacceptable.

Never going back here. If you want the real A2B experience, go to their Bangalore branches — they’re on another level in terms of food, hygiene, and how they...
