⤵️ Updated Review for Amritsar Haveli Restaurant (visited on 30th August 2023) Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently revisited Amritsar Haveli, and I must say that my experience this time was nothing short of disappointing. I had initially given the restaurant a 3/5 rating, but my second visit has led me to reconsider my opinion. To begin with, the most concerning issue was the presence of houseflies in a fine dining establishment. This was a major hygiene concern and completely unacceptable for a restaurant that markets itself as a place for a quality dining experience. The dining table wasn't any better. It had unhygienic, sticky dining mats with food remnants on them. This not only ruined the ambiance but also raised questions about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant. Another letdown was the absence of tawa bread, pulka, or roti due to some internal problem. For a Punjabi restaurant, not being able to serve staple items like these is a significant disappointment. The staff, I noticed, seemed tired and disengaged with their work. Their lack of enthusiasm was palpable and contributed to the overall negative atmosphere of the restaurant. The restroom was also in a dismal state, which is far from the standard one would expect from any dining establishment, let alone a fine dining one. All in all, this visit to Amritsar Haveli was the worst Punjabi restaurant experience I've had in recent times. The presence of houseflies, unhygienic conditions, food item unavailability, disinterested staff, and the sorry state of the restroom have led me to reduce my rating from 3/5 to 1/5. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and works towards improving the overall dining experience for their customers. 5th August, 2023 Visit Review⤵️ ⭐⭐ ⭐ I recently dined at Amritsar Haveli, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The restaurant has its strengths and weaknesses that need attention. The ambiance was decent, and the Punjabi vegetarian menu seemed promising, at the initial onset. On the positive side, their Dal Makhani was delightful, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The Indian Breads were also a winner, perfectly cooked and complementing the main course. However, the hits were overshadowed by some misses. ⛔️The hygiene standards of the dishes being served definitely need improvement. The way food was presented left much to be desired, and this aspect needs immediate attention. ⛔️ ⛔️ The pre-prepared refrigerated Lassi was a huge disappointment, lacking freshness and flavor. ⛔️ The Soggy Masala Pappad and the hardened Missi Roti were also below par, taking away from the overall dining experience. While the food had its ups and downs, the staff's behavior and respect towards customers could use a significant improvement. ⛔️ Their attitude felt distant and could be more welcoming. ❌ Additionally, their practice of serving water in cheap, self-branded plastic bottles at an inflated price of 50Rs per bottle was questionable! These bottles should at the very least be clean and presentable before being placed on the table. ⁉️In conclusion, Amritsar Haveli has potential, but there's room for growth in several aspects. 📛The quality of dishes, especially the refrigerated items, needs attention. 🛑The staff's approach towards customers should be more customer-centric and warm. ❓Finally, the hygiene and presentation of dishes, as well as the practice of serving water, must be addressed for an overall improved dining experience.

Overall - Highly Recommended, must try (9/10) Taste - Ordered the Paneer kulcha, cheese kulcha and chur chur naan. Paneer Kulcha was lovely, one kulcha is enough to fill you up. Both kulchas were served with chhole, which was nice. Chur chur naan on other hand was not all that great. Served with Dal Makhni, Kadhai paneer and veg raita, it was okayish. Dal makhni stole the show here, definitely. As far as I am concerned, yes I will be visiting again to taste more of their offerings. Definitely a 9/10 Service: Very active staff, the waiters are always at ready, I did not have to wait for someone to attend me. The manager was at ready, and showed us to a table immediately. With such a polite and helpful staff I have no complaints. Even waiter thanked me as I was leaving, so did the security guard at door. (10/10 here) Ambiance: Nice and cozy place. Good lighting and nice decor. No theme in particular but I am not complaining, it is not one of those dull dingy places that often use bad lighting to coverup the filth. Location: Located on 2nd floor of Navratna trade centre, I guess it has car parking too, for 2 wheelers, I parked outside main gate of the complex.

Being a pure vegetarian, i always seek out for *pure vegetarian* restaurants. Actually when I heard about Amritsar haveli I got little excited as it being pure vegetarian outlet. I got a chance to visit few months after its opening. I and my husband (he got excited for chaap as he miss it badly here in vizag)came here for dinner, ordered a haveli tandoori platter and a malai chaap along with cream of tomato soup. Utter disappointment...the paneer in platter is undercooked, we asked them about..their response is like khabi khabi hota hai madam..try other things in platter (like seriously 😳) Chaap is good i liked it when it's hot after that it's blah...my husband didnot like he says it's not meeting his Delhi standards🤣🤣 Sheek kabab is dry and bland... Hara bara kabab is failure.... Cream of tomato is okay okay... The prices are really high I don't know about those big breads and thalis...will taste them latter Soo...if you want to eat a good vegetarian starter...please visit masaledaar in vizag...not here🙏

Had a bad experience on the 2nd visit to this restaurant. The food they served lacked both quality and quantity. Disappointing as they are not able to live up to the initial hype and name they created nor the money they are charging. It was a weekday (Wednesday) so I expected a good meal owing to less crowd but it was no less than disappointment.

Food quality - 0/5 Value for money - 0/5 Ambience - 3/5

I ordered Mini Thali and Punjabi Kofta curry. The Thali consisted of -

  1. Dal Makhani which is completely salty and couldn't be eaten at all. Upon informing the same to the management, they tried to bring a new cup which tasted the same again.

  2. Mixed Veg curry which is half cooked and didn't have the authentic taste either.

  3. Tandoori roti which is actually hard to chew.

  4. White rice which is served at room temperature that quickly lost it's softness and turned crisp :(

The only good things are raita and some salad which came in with Thali

  1. The Punjabi Kofta curry was so out of taste as it seemed though they used a gravy of other curries in the kitchen to get this dish done after making us wait 20 mins

Overall, had a bad experience with food and the only thing which is actually good is the way they keep the serving plates clean and tidy. I wish they start giving a little more priority on the preparation than serving...

I dnt even want to give single star as well. The worst experience i ever have in vizag.. pure Punjabi style food is not served anywhere in vizag.. so taught of experiencing this hotel as they mentioned pure Punjabi style.. My Sunday started with booking reservation with hotel at 11.30 am nly.. seems manager doesn't know the word called reservation.. after arguing for 25 min on call I booked the table for 8.. sent few people 10min early on manager request while buking.. but he came up making fun of customers.. y came early.. sir it's sharp 1.30 where is the madam who made buking.. least manners i have ever seen.. Coming to food.. don't expect any Punjabi taste.. atleast there are other hotels who can serve near to Punjabi taste atleast.. but this hotel no where... Except lassi.. nothing can be marked as great...

Due to half cooked food n worst behaviour we left hotel with hunger n paying entire bill.. Coming to owners heard all this n acted very smart dat we ll not repeat but dint do anything..

Sincere request don't waste ur money .. n don't expect anythng.. no manners... No good food.. no responce.. Advice to the owners to change the manager asap n imbibe certain feelings called welcomness to ur staff... Wen they r nt pleasant enough hw can u expect PPL to cme .. great food can't be expected every day, but gud manners can...
