My friends and I decided to check out The Food Republic around 11:45 am. Initially, we were asked to wait a bit because not all items were ready, but we didn't mind as we had time to spare. After a short wait, the waiter took our order.
We ordered a variety of starters, including the drunken cigar rolls, dynamite chicken, and dragon paneer. The drunken cigar rolls, which are essentially spring rolls, were decent but not outstanding, although my friends seemed to enjoy them. However, the dynamite chicken, a chicken pakoda tossed in a mayo-like sauce, stood out and left a positive impression on me. The dragon paneer, a spicy chili paneer dish, was also quite delightful, with a crispy and spicy kick.
Eating these three starters filled us up, and it's worth noting that the total bill came to 1200 rupees. The ambience was good, and while the service was okayish, it didn't overshadow the overall positive lunch experience we had.
The Food Republic seems to offer some tasty treats, particularly the dynamite chicken and dragon paneer. It's a decent place to enjoy a meal...
Read moreThe cozy little expensive dining experience in vijayawada. We often wonder there's something lagging back for the taste buds. Presenting the food republic people backed up with the kitchen marvels are creating soulful dishes with sinful tastes and having an absolute way of presenting the food cooked.
Pros - Tasty food Good ambiance Antique themed huts Motel environment for the complete restaurant
Cons -
Seating type- one has to lean forward and eat while sitting in huts where rest is fine.
Know what you have ordered, recheck with the waiter because not once but it was two times the did not listen to us and over ordered food which would go into wastage (resources)
Wash rooms are not clean enough. For the ambiance and the cost rates the restaurant is charging. We should demand for a cleaner and better washrooms.
Parking is also bit hassle in that narrow street.
Over all the food is good, but the hospitality is not warm enough to feel cozy. Anyways opinions...
Read moreI had recently visited the restaurant food is good but the staff communication is pathetic . No service staff knows telugu or English here.. Restaurant Management must understand that they need to have Telugu speaking staff everyone who visits this restaurant will not understand hindi and English. Most of the guests visiting here would be telugu speaking guests here. I regularly visit other restaurants also and i found mix of Telugu and hindi speaking staff there. Only in dhabas I found hindi speaking staff. But this is the only restaurant in city where I found only hindi speaking staff. If mgmnt won't take this thing seriously it will be there loss Only. Iam disappointed and surprised that restaurant Management is offering guest needs in language what they speak but not what guest understands. Management...
