Location: Southern Spice is conveniently located in a prime area of the city, making it a walkable distance from my home. However, one major inconvenience is the road leading to the restaurant, which tends to flood during rainy weather. This drainage issue makes it impossible to walk to the restaurant or get out of the car without stepping into water.

Delivery Service: Another point of concern is the delivery charge. Despite being located right next to the Vdara Hotel, the restaurant charges a delivery fee, which could deter potential customers. Adjusting this policy might attract more interest from nearby residents.

Dining Experience: During our visit today, we ordered the Veg Special Biryani and two Pulkhas. The food was delicious, meeting our expectations. However, the ambiance of the restaurant needs significant improvement to enhance the dining experience. The service was satisfactory, but there's room for enhancement in terms of the overall environment.

Initially I rated it a bit high, but now that the quality of food and service has deteriorated I reduced the rating. Have visited this place quite a number of times. My first and second visits were satisfactory but the later aren't. Totally disappointed by the quality of food. Have purchased paneer curry on a Sunday night, I don't know if they have served the food from the previous day or that which was cooked in the morning, the curry was almost at the verge of getting rotten. I purchased an other set of vegetarian dishes recently and they were not good too. So I now got to know it's not just a one time bad experience but that they have compromised their quality and hygiene. I could see that the curry others than that displayed in the counter were stored in plastic buckets. Felt really bad on seeing it. Would never dare visit this...

Biryani just reminded me of Hyderabadi biryani ,which is hard to replicate in vijayawada , i have tried so many biryani places but none of them impressed me. The Restaurants in vijayawada simply don't understand what is dum biryani . In some restaurants they give you fry chicken pieces with basmathi rice which is plain bagara rice. But they assume it to me biryani. Its a pity. But this restaurant made my day. Authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani . Except for the Dal curry provided for you.
