Read moreNicoli is a wonderful place to hang out alone / with friends and family. The outdoor seating is the best- with swings, Victorian style patio seating and lots of plants🌱🌹/trees🌳 make the space even more likeable for aesthetes like me ✨. The interiors of the cafeteria are just right for the space. The minimalist furniture layout and the pastel colour palette 🎨 of the space are what make the space cosy with super comfortable corners. They've got an excellent collection of culinary books 📚 that keeps us engaged on solo dates (I absolutely enjoy exploring their book collection in my every visit). They offer a wide range of menus that includes baked foods 🍩🥞🍰🎂, snacks🥐🍿🍪🍟, pasta🍝, pizza 🍕 and many more; most of the food here is super delicious and worth it for the price. I'd definitely recommend trying the Cream of Mushroom soup 🍵 in there. The only drawbacks I find there are -
Number one - The wait time when you order a pizza. You can expect the wait time to be at least 40 - 50 minutes for your pizza. Unlike other cafeterias, where the pizza is cooked in a clay tandoor, but still, it's a lot of wait time tbh 🥲 Number two - The taste of a few pizzas on the menu isn't great. This being an Italian cafeteria, I expected much more from them in terms of pizza but they don't meet my expectations of being an Italian pizza. The pizza's either too spicy 🥵 or takes ages to arrive which might take away the interest in eating a pizza. Perhaps the management could look more into it and work on it, please?
Apart from that, I absolutely recommend giving this place a try! And oh, last but not the least, the hospitality is welcoming which is why I keep visiting this...
Read moreI’ve been a regular visitor to Nicoli and have even recommended it to friends several times in the past. Unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with how the service quality has dropped recently especially the attitude of the person managing the staff.
We had a really unpleasant experience during our last visit. We ordered the Carduni Pizza, which we’ve had and enjoyed before. However, this time, the pizza looked and tasted like it was reheated not freshly made. When we politely brought this up, the manager (or whoever is in charge) responded rudely and argued with us instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. That kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially towards regular customers.
Still, we decided to give the place another chance and visited again. After sitting for around 10 minutes, we requested to turn on the AC as it was quite hot. We were told the AC wasn’t working, so we shifted to another table and again, same issue. Oddly, when we were done with our meal and stepped out to pay the bill at the reception, we noticed the AC was working just fine. This feels like intentional neglect and is truly disappointing.
Small things like this poor response to feedback, rude attitude, and dishonesty ruin the customer experience. While one customer not visiting again may not matter to the restaurant, I can say with confidence that such behavior from the manager will definitely drive more people away.
Please train your staff especially your management to treat customers respectfully. A smile or a polite response can...
