I'm a Goan by birth but I've lived my life in Mumbai for the larger chunk of life, so I'm aware of the hospitality Goan restaurants have to offer (especially in tourist places like Anjuna) and as much as I'd like to say they all do a good enough job, Slow Tide set a bar so high, i don't think it's possible for anybody to beat it. I'd like to push my buttons and say this is possibly the best service I've received in my life. The people here are too kind, too accomodating, too sweet and extremely generous with their hospitality. Whoever trained these guys, man, y'all are doing great. Coming to the food, like I said, I've eaten a lot of Goan food to know what the benchmark is and mannnn, the chef here has managed to infuse flavours and dishes I'd have never imagined eating. The best part about slowtide food is that there are limited options but literally none of it is something you can afford missing. We had the Jaffna Crab with Bombay Pav, Moringa fritters, Chiapas Street style maize, and their NY cheesecake. We spent at least an hour and a half deshelling the crab and savouring every bite of it, the corn dish was something i don't think I'll ever taste again because it was so unique and the Moringa fritters felt like home. I just can't explain how good the food here is if you're willing to accept Goan food in an elevated form that will activate ALL YOUR SENSES. Coming to the ambiance, we got a sea facing bar table and it was so perfect to see the sunset with the best company. And they gave us this table despite is reaching late cause of the horrid traffic sunburn fest caused. No attitude given, nothing. That is the first sign of a patient team who understand bad days exist and sometimes you just gotta come around it. I think I'll go on and on about them if i don't stop here. Daisy and Gabriel, thank you for being the best coordinators. Nilanjana, i hope you go places! You served us well and we can't wait to visit you again. If you managed to reached the end of this, I'd say please go here to experience kindness and food. They're both memories you'll take back home from Goa 🌻

We recently visited Slow Tide at Anjuna, and honestly, it felt less like a restaurant and more like a whole vibe. It’s not just a place to eat or drink – it’s an experience you’ll remember. Upon arrival, we parked at their designated parking space, which is slightly away from the main location. But here’s the twist – they offer their own rickshaw service to ferry guests from the parking area to the restaurant. That was such a thoughtful and fun touch! The ₹200 parking fee is redeemable against your bill, which was a nice bonus. We paid a ₹3000 cover charge for entry and were seated at a beautiful beach-facing table. And what a view it was! The Anjuna beach stretches right ahead, with waves crashing gently in the background and great music setting the perfect mood. The ambience is crafted with heart – boho-chic aesthetics, laidback seating, and a soothing blend of colours and textures. It instantly makes you feel like you've escaped into a little world of its own. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, guiding us through the menu and helping us choose. The highlight? It was my mother’s birthday, and though we hadn’t informed them, they surprised us with a complimentary slice of chocolate mousse cake. A small gesture that touched us deeply! We ordered drinks, Sweet Potato Fritters, and Calamari Pulao – everything was absolutely delicious. But I have to give a special mention to the chutney served with the fritters – it was hands down the best chutney I’ve ever had. I even ordered their local poi bread just to savour it more! This is a place that excels in everything — ambience, food, drinks, service, and vibe. Whether you’re in Goa for a celebration or just to unwind, Slow Tide is a must-visit.

My time at Slow Tide was quite good until it wasn't. The restaurant sits snugly overlooking the Anjuna Beach with plenty of open space, natural decor, and a lovely bar counter. The cocktails, the appetisers, and the atmosphere were all good and amazing. A few of the waitstaff were very friendly and polite. The part I did not like: That morning, I called them to make a dinner reservation to celebrate our anniversary. I was informed that it was first come, first serve (probably because we were a couple). That evening, we were seated below the deck but (when I spotted an empty table and asked for it) we were moved to the upper deck. The waitstaff did inform us that we MAY have to give up our table as it was reserved for a party of four. (I have to note here that there were plenty of empty tables with high chairs. I chose not to sit in one of those as they give me a back ache.) A couple of drinks and appetisers later, just when we were about to order the main course, we were asked to vacate the table. I felt it was rather impolite of them as we were still eating. Reluctantly, while vacating the table, I expressed my displeasure with one of the waitstaff. Surprisingly, he was quite condescending and rude. Obviously, we didn't want to resume our dinner and left the place dissatisfied. All this displeasure could have been avoided had they simply reserved a table for us.

Absolutely loved everything about this place.

First off, the service was top notch. There is attention to detail in everything all the employees do, they know exactly what the customer wants and pay attention to what you need and assist you accordingly.

Something that stood out to me was definitely the friendly bartenders and their spectacular and refreshing cocktails. The bartenders here are not joking around, they really do know what they are doing and are all up for giving you a fantastic experience and making it worth your buck. Everyone is extremely friendly, they assist you on what you may want and they deliver the perfect blend of goodies. Their cocktail menu was something I have personally never seen in any bars across Goa/ other cities, each drink is unique in its own way and there is always a slow tide twist behind it. From making their own concoctions to carving their own ice for each drink, there is attention to detail and a reason behind everything they do. Went there twice and I got to taste most of their cocktails along with a slight shot here and there from the bartenders here and there to help me try out everything. I would certainly say the celery scotch and the acid Erick were my top two fav fav drinks, definitely definitely recommend it!!!

The views from the place, the staff, the dogs in the restaurant, the food and the amazing drinks are definitely things I would come back for. Although on the slightly pricier side, they surely make it worth it and provide service worth way more than how much it...
