I’m writing this review while still sitting inside Four Seasons Restaurant, Guwahati — a place that once held countless memories for me since my school and college days. This was our go-to spot for get-togethers, celebrations, and casual hangouts with friends. Back then, the food, service, and overall vibe were something we looked forward to.

Unfortunately, today’s visit has left me deeply disappointed.

The quality of food has deteriorated to a shocking extent. Dishes that once had a distinct taste and freshness now feel bland, stale, and hastily prepared. There’s no attention to presentation, no flavour profile to speak of, and certainly no joy in eating it.

Even more disheartening is the complete lack of basic hospitality. I was not offered even a glass of water, let alone a bottle, until I had to repeatedly ask for it. The staff appeared disinterested, untrained, and lacking in the most basic courtesy expected from any eatery — let alone one that was once considered a popular and respected name in the city.

What used to be a place filled with warmth and comfort now feels cold, neglected, and run-down — both in terms of service and soul. I genuinely hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because it’s painful to see a place filled with so many personal memories turn into such a disappointment.

Would I return? Not unless something...

My friend had told me that 4 seasons was a good place to eat out so we went there. But to my utter displease they didn't even care to give the menu. We had to ask for it and after they brought the menu no one ever came back to take the order, we had to call them again. We ordered chicken basket and a pizza and it took them forever to cook. FInally they served the chicken basket abruptly in a plate with no sauce, no fork, no tissue papers. When me and my friend asked the waiter for a fork, the woman who sits in the counter heard us and literally told the waiter, 'CAN'T THEY JUST USE THEIR OWN HANDS TO EAT'. I am not from the state,and my friend is not an assamese too, so may be she thought we wouldn't understand but my friend is from Assam and understands assamese well and when he asked what she had said there was no reply, no apology. We thought of just leaving but later decided to stay. AND the pizza took more than an hour to cook. Didn't want to spend anymore time there, so got the pizza packed and left. Not complaining about the taste of the food though....
