Disastrous Dining Experience at Changmai: Unbearable Heat and Deceptive Service
I am utterly disappointed and deeply regretful to share my recent experience at Changmai, a place I once cherished and recommended wholeheartedly. However, my latest visit has left me in a state of shock and disbelief. The restaurant's exorbitant prices led me to expect a certain level of quality and comfort, particularly in the scorching heat we endured. Unfortunately, what I encountered was a complete and utter failure on their part.
The first glaring issue was the lack of functional air conditioning. One would assume that an establishment charging a premium for its dishes would have the basic decency to invest in proper cooling systems, especially in such unbearable weather. To my dismay, the AC units were completely non-functional, leaving the entire premises stifling hot and suffocating.
To exacerbate the situation, Changmai had the audacity to rely on a single stand fan to provide relief to the entire restaurant. The fan's feeble attempts to circulate air were futile, leaving every customer perspiring profusely.
As someone who had previously celebrated numerous birthdays and cherished important events at Changmai, this experience was a devastating blow. The decline in service and disregard for customer comfort were disheartening, to say the least. Now, coming to food, we ordered Tom Kha chicken soup, Khanom Jeeb Chicken dumpling, Virgin Mojito, Goi Cuan Chicken wraps, Omurice and Aiskrim Goreng for dessert. #Tom Kha chicken soup is basically a coconut milk based thai soup which has slight sweet note to it, they provide with chilli flakes and lemon to adjust it with according to ur taste. Loved the taste of this soup was absolutely perfect added lemon juice n chilli flakes for the perfect spicky and tangy taste #Khanom Jeeb Chicken dumpling was a chicken stuffed siumai dumpling which was serve with 2 types of dips. It taste good. #Goi Cuan Chicken wraps is basically Vietnamese rice paper rolls with filling of glass noodles, boiled chicken and salad.. its a healthy option for a wrap tastes great with the dip they provided. #Omurice is a Japanese omlet rice in which the fried rice covered with an omlet. This was a bit different from the authentic version but the fried rice was amazing simply loved the smoky and sesame flavour.
