It was a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant in Jorhat dishing out authentic Bengali cuisines. The ambience, decor and service standards are at the best. Although the puritans might not rate the food completely as 'authentic Bengali', the food didn't disappoint at all. In case you are planning to visit, try the restaurant on a working day rather than on a Sunday, as it gets quite crowded. The food we had enjoyed at the time of dinner. It was really delicious taste with great quality. Everything had unique taste which we had ordered.nice arrangement and services from the staff while eating food.we found nothing bad about this restaurent.. The food was not up to the mark even in their special thali and they really need to upgrade the quality of food as the food is of poor quality. The taste of the food is also not good. The amount of food is less compared to the price of food . This is the one and only restaurant where even the rice is served once in thali. Even when we informed about this to the manager he told that their restaurant is like this only and told us "if you don't want to come again, then don't come"

The food was disappointing and fell short of the standards set by other Ami Bangali branches. We ordered Diamond fish fry, Special thali, and vetki paturi. Apart from the rice, none of the dishes appealed to us. The Diamond vetki fry was mostly coated in thick bread crumbs, making it hard to see the fish. The vetki in the paturi was tough and chewy, an unusual experience as vetki is usually not this hard. The special thali was ordinary, with watery dal and barely visible lentils.
