The ambience was good, as I don't know much about the naga ethnic cuisine, the food too was tasty to me. The staff have to improve a lot as they lack the basic communication skills, serving skills and a lot more, most importantly the behavior, they act arrogant and is very ignorant of their customers.
TO START WITH FOOD :
It was peak mid afternoon when we went there, probably around 2:00 to 2:30 pm, we specially went for their chicken thali, yet we planned to go for starters and cold drinks first, which when we ordered was unavailable, no starter was available, in fact nothing besides those thalis were available as they mentioned, whereas for cold drinks only sprite was available and we had no choice and ordered the thalis. We ordered four chicken thalis each thali costing us Rupees 340.
THE THALI CONSISTED OF : Plain rice, One piece of Carrot, Cucumber, Lemon and Green chilli, King chilli chutney, Dry fish chutney, Aloo pitika, Boiled veg, Crispy potato fry, Boiled dal, Smashed boil papaya, Mix veg, Chicken dry fry, Chicken with bamboo shoots, Chicken with teel, Sweet dish (Curd).
Each item included in the thali had it's own taste, and refill was only given for rice that too only once. So according to the price the quality and taste was okay but quantity could've been more. So for the food : 4/5.
FOR THE AMBIENCE AND ATMOSPHERE :
The ambience is good and is decorated with naga paintings and accessories, the tables and chairs are comfortable, but should've been a little more neat and tidy! For us, that we visited in summer, in such a warm climate, they don't have their ACs on, and don't even many fans attending to each table, the utensils where the food was served was dirty too, so that should be improved as soon as possible! So for the ambience : 2/5.
FOR THE STAFF :
The staff just in the middle of the day looked very tired of their work and looked like they had literal zero interest for the customers, they all sat gathering in one corner of the restaurant, served new customers with thali and again went and sat there, had a real time struggle calling them for the things we wanted. They neither have the basic communication skills nor have the interest to serve their customers truly. So for the staff : 1/5
Overall if you really want to taste some ethnic and unique cuisine, you may pay a visit there! I'll...
Read moreWorst Experience Ever – Deeply Disappointed by Heritage Naga Kitchen, Dibrugarh
I usually don’t write negative reviews, but this experience truly left me disappointed and disheartened.
I had heard about Heritage Naga Kitchen in Dibrugarh and was genuinely excited to try it. I came all the way from the Medical College, around 5 kilometers away, solely for this restaurant. I even reserved an auto and made sure to reach before their official closing time, which is 10:30 PM. I arrived at 10:26 PM — a good four minutes before closing — only to be told very casually that the restaurant was closed.
I politely explained that I had come from the Medical College, hoping they would consider serving at least something small since I made the effort to reach on time. Some of the staff seemed understanding and were almost ready to accommodate me.
But then, a girl (I don’t want to get personal, but I’m describing her only for identification — she had noticeable pimples on her face) came forward and very rudely dismissed the entire conversation. With a cold and arrogant attitude, she simply said, “Everything is over,” as if my presence and effort meant absolutely nothing.
It wasn’t just about the food. It was the lack of empathy, the rudeness, and the complete disregard for someone who came from far away, hungry, and within the allowed time. This is not the kind of treatment anyone deserves, especially at a place that calls itself a "heritage" restaurant. Heritage should reflect not only in food but also in values, hospitality, and basic human courtesy.
I left the place feeling insulted, disrespected, and utterly disappointed.
To future visitors: Be cautious. Respect for customers should be a minimum standard, not a luxury.

Read moreHad a wonderful meal today at Heritage Naga Kitchen, Dibugarh!! . . I was hearing a lot of good stuff about this place from my friends which is originally located at my home district. And today, I got a chance to visit and experience some of their items personally!! The interior of this place is really amazing and which actually amazed us the most!! The staff of this place is also very decent and helpful, But they should definitely work on their service. We waited for more than 25/30 minutes for the food. . . Now coming to the food, they are very popular for their ethnic Naga thalis but we all wanted to have a little bit light in the lunch and hence orderd rice plates with two different curries!! The food was very good but was expecting more!! . . Overall I liked this place and will definitely want to visit again and try their other dishes from their menu!! . . At the end, Kudos to the team and best wishes for the future!!✨🙌 . . Location📍- Heritage Naga Kitchen, opp. Reliance Trends, RNC Path, Mancotta...
