Kolkata Kitchen — Restaurant in Assam

Current Review: Me and my boyfriend have decided not to visit Kolkata kitchen anymore. Loved this place but seems like now things have changed. Their behaviour towards customers have changed.

We ordered some of our favourite food items here today and the quantity was too much for us. We decided to pack things up as we don't like wasting food. As usual we asked if food can be packed and the cook shouted at as and said "ami jhuta packing nokoru , nije kori lua" , my boyfriend also shouted as he didn't liked the behaviour. We can pack things up by ourselves but this can be conveyed normally we well.

I stay at Basistha and we frequently visit this place as we love every food item of this place. I know this place since 2009 or 2010 I guess. Never encountered such behaviour. Shouting at us and humiliated infront of other people. I don't know where we were wrong. Well we didn't wasted any food. Packed our food and payed the bill.

This behaviour towards customers have changed my mind. Even if the food is good , the bad behaviour and humiliation will never be forgotten.

It's cheap, affordable, tasty food from a little joint. You will know when you get there and see people waiting to get their hands on some tasty quick bites. Chicken roll is a must try, you will get big tandoori chicken pieces which is very rare for just 60 bucks. Momos, Chicken Biryani, Dal Tadka with Rumali Roti, Tandoori, all are must try. Took one star because they need to give a little bit attention to tidiness, but that's manageable if you getting good...

The most underrated fast food joint. It's not modernized still running like it's 2005. The quality of food is what matters. You can get a chicken roll for 60/- which is far better than those 200/- ones, don't expect cheese or anything fancy it's just pure wholesome raw cooked food which gives you a craving to visit more and more.
