Sema Naga Kitchen — Restaurant in Assam

I had a good experience until date but a single incident i must say the behaviour of a staff totally let me avoid this place when actually i use to be excited to dine i there,too unprofessional a girl teenager i guess on asking the about a particular item in the menu just busted on my face with a reply of pata nahi like she’s joking with me than i was like huh are you new that’s the way to answer,atlist should go ask someone and attend but still no sorry no guilt never showed up back with the answer.Food quality also detoriated service is horrible owner should look after these.. all the restaurant owners ka business these staffs are pulling down they don’t want to work and with their cheap behaviour chasing the customers.If you have issues don’t work customers ko project krk kya restaurant chalyga.Food is important for everyone people come to have a good time n food not to compromise with their mental peace.Moreover a thali should look and served like one, presentation was horrible.The meat pieces were kept for dogs i think mistakenly serve to me only bones and fats.Axone toh was not deleted only.That girl didn’t even take order properly sunna hi nhi tha usko,staff like this should be...

Such a brilliant but hidden place. Have eaten in many Naga places including in Nagaland and my personal favourite are the Sema/Sumi dishes. Came to this place looking for that eternal favourite - smoked pork with axone, and was blown away by the place! Spotless clean, with lovely cane furniture it's got tables for all kinds of groups. The food is just brilliant with just the right amount of spice and tenderness of the meat. Especially nice was the whole grain rice that is so much more tasty and nutritious. If I have to find one area of improvement, it would be to bring a little variety with the boiled vegetables. I'm not done with this place - definitely coming back and bringing...

I visited this restaurant on 06 July 23. I think this is the best Naga restaurant in Guwahati as on date taste wise. They took about 45 mins to prepare the order but felt that it was worth the wait once the food arrived. There were several side dishes in the thali and the portions were more than adequate for all 4 of us. Sema Naga thali is a must try with 2 pork dishes and 1 fish dish. Soft drink was not available however on request the staff did get it for us from outside. Staff were very courteous. Place was clean and well maintained. Aesthetics can be improved. Overall a lovely experience. Would like to visit again...
