Tandooriwala Guwahati — Restaurant in Assam

First of all the food. We ordered Chicken Butter Masala and Butter Naan. Overlooking the overpriced menu we atleast expected quality on the plate. But to our surprise the Chicken Butter Masala was a "salt curry" at best followed by "roasted papad" that they claimed to be Butter Naans which were utterly crunchy at best. The amount of sodium chloride in my body has exponentially gone up after having the butter chicken. Taste 2/10 Secondly, talking about the service. Our bill of two people summed up to Rs.1700, which upon being paid with my UPI failed inspite of being debited from my account. Therefore i had to pay twice as they assured me that in case of a double payment, they'd re-send me my 1700 back. I came back home and eventually the payment which was initially stuck was sent to the recipient. From this point onwards it was a hassle to ask them my money back as they would come up with the lamest excuses such as "Amar maalik aha nai etia" and "Aaji dintu diok kaali ghurai dim poisa tu" until i had to desperately mention about taking legal actions after which they "prematurely" managed to give me my money back. Service 2/10. Let's not forget that we had ordered boneless chicken but were served boned ones and then later charged for boneless before finally changing the bill into what it actually was....

Tandooriwala is located in the same building as Westside, G.S. Road. Firstly, the entrance to the building is very shady. You need to go via the lift for which you have to pass by their parking area, which is very dimly lit. Coming to the restaurant, the AC wasn't working and it was very stuffy, so we had to sit outside. Ambience was okay-ish. We ordered their recommended dishes - Tandooriwala Special Chicken Tandoori, Peri Peri chicken tandoori, Crispy Chilly Babycorn, Punjabi Chicken and Butter Naan. The special chicken tandoori and peri peri tandoori tasted good, but didn't have much of a difference. The Babycorn tasted just fine. Punjabi chicken was overpriced for the quantity and the butter naan came without any butter. The alcohol was also okay, not much to say about it. Service was very slow. There were mosquitoes but the waiters barely did anything about it inspite of several complaints. Overall, I had expected a better experience....

Hey... today I visited @tandooriwala & my experience was very horrible...I ordered 3 times , tandooriwala signature sizzler , Non Veg Biryani Rice & Mutton Handi. Sizzler was good in taste but the "Biryani" had no chicken in it & mainly the "Mutton Handi" was totally a waste , the Mutton pieces were STALE & too spicy even after that I mentioned not to cook it too spicy. I could not have any piece of the Mutton. I ended up my meal there only & then I complained about the meat the waiter said "sorry , ma'am you don't have to pay for the Mutton , you may pay the rest amount." But when I went to the cash counter the cashier refuse to deduct the amount from the bill. Even I was charged with service charge But according to my knowledge consumer can always refuse to pay the service charge as the discretion lies with them on the basis of their satisfaction.
