ZERO would where Stars don’t justify the experience that I had here. To appreciate the effort of the culinary team, I am adding the stars.
As soon as you walk in, the stylish interior will catch your imagination. But, with some time as you get comfortable, you will realise that this is a dark, dimly lit, not so positive vibe.
For me, it’s not a deal breaker. What broke the deal for me was the price bar and quality of food that was put on the plate. We ordered for a Bhot Jolokia flavoured chicken wings. Leaving aside the missing Bhot Jolokia punch, the cut of the pieces were amusing. Neither was it whole chicken wing nor drumette, nor flat wing. It was a mix but with the wing tip attached. Not sure if I would like to pay ₹499 to chew the dry wing tip. Taste was Ok but portion size was scandalous given the price point. Don’t consider it as a fine dine, as the service lacked that, considerably.
Similarly, the portion size of one plate of steamed rice is again scandalous, when compared to their peers. Rice was well cooked, not pipping hot, but portion size was horrendous. We ordered a Home Styled Chicken curry that was again priced at ₹499. Again, the cost is on the higher side but without any rationale. I mean it was just a simple curry with standard gravy (not custom made) but tossed just before the service and the meat was Broiler Chicken. Thankfully they served a leg piece - as per our request - for the kid. That was the only saving grace.
In short, a pathetic experience which is far from all the hoopla on social media. Being marketer, I know that sales driven by marketing push can only take a brand to a certain position but won’t allow it to the goodwill and promise of delivery.
Don’t fall for the social media stunts. Make your own informed decision. Try once before believing me or not.
I am not coming back to this...
Read moreTypically Indian is a proper fine dine restaurant by MasterChef India Winner Nayan Jyoti - and everything on the menu they offered, going with the names looked extremely appetising and high class. The menu does provide a variety of options from the Indian and Asian cuisine. They offer you with a welcome drink (watermelon soda/a shot of coffee)
The items are priced a little higher, but that’s fairly expected from a fine dine with the kind of ambience and experience they offer. Most of the dishes on the menu ranges around 380-450/-
Recommended by the staff, we tried the five-spiced skewered chicken which tasted really good. For main course, we tried the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl which was good but the amount of soya sauce felt a little over the top, overpowering the entire dish! We also tried their Tempura Chicken Ramen with Rice Noodles, which was good too but tasted very different from the usual Ramen Bowls that you might expect. The mocktails were really good!
Every dish was presented beautifully and did justice on the name of a masterchef! The staff offers you an amazing service and hospitality, full marks for that!
The entire space as a duplex, with a proper fine dine area at one floor and a clubbing area on the second floor, is very neatly decorated - the interiors are stunning and represent the north eastern culture of using bamboo lights on the roof ! Every part of the wall, corner and roof is meant for Instagram pictures.
Were the dishes worth the price? Yes. With the kind of experience and service they offered, totally yes! Well, you also don’t dine in at such places very often, so once in a while, a quality fine dining at a place like this, is definitely recommendable!
And, overall, you can thoroughly enjoy a good quality time combined with an amazing meal with your family and friends...
Read moreIt was a great evening at typically Indian. It was my 4th and I visit. A great place..great ambience and great food. But zero compliance for customers for which I am giving one star. So we were a group of three on a Saturday evening..one guy and two girls. The charged 1000 rs for the guy as cover charge. They said at the time of of billing g the cover charge will be redeemed. Whiling we missed giving them the slip for cover charge..and the waiter ALSO DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE COVER CHARGE. THEY MADE US WAIT OUTSIDE THE BAR WHILE ENTERING TILL OUR PAYMENT WAS DONE FOR THE COVER CHARGE..THEY TOLD US WE WILL NOT BE ENTERING WITHOUT PAYING IT. BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO REMIND US FOR REDEMPTIONW WHILE BILLING. I personally called up the manager after we left the place about the things..and he denied to help us. I again called him and we were planning to drive back to the place for the same. He said he cannot help at all. This was against his policy. I totally respect that. People should be professional. Fine we as customers should be professional too. The very first time we visited this place 27the August I'm a group of three. We had a good time there until we had there FISH FINGERS. THE FISH WAS STALE. IT WAS STINKY. IT WAS VERY VERY BAD. IT TASTED LIKE SOME OLD FISH WHICH WAS FRIED AND SERVED US. EVEN THE FISH WITH LEMON BUTTER SAUCE WAS HORRIBLE. IT WAS STINKY AND STALE. BUT WE FELT BAD TO COMPLAIN AGAIN AND AGAIN. WE SETTLED FOR THE STALE AND SPOILED FOOD AND ATE IT. TODAY I FEEL WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER THAT DAY.. WE SHOULD HAVE REPORTED THIS INCIDENT TO CONSUMER COURT. THESE PEOPLE DESERVE NO MERCY.IF THEY START ACTING LIKE THIS WE CUSTOMERS TOO TREAT THEM WHAT THEY DESERVE. KEEP GOING TYPICALY BAR AND RESTAURANT!!!!
Thank you for being so...
