Tribe Town Kitchen, nestled in the bustling heart of the city, is a hidden gem that offers a unique dining experience with its focus on Naga and Bodo local cuisines. This restaurant stands out for its dedication to authenticity and the rich culinary traditions of Northeast India.

The interior is a blend of contemporary design and traditional elements, creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. The warm lighting and tasteful decor set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The staff is welcoming and well-versed in the menu, eager to guide diners through their culinary journey.

The menu at Tribe Town Kitchen is a tribute to the diverse and flavorful dishes of the Naga and Bodo communities. Each dish is meticulously prepared, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that highlight the bold and distinctive flavors of the region. The smoked pork with bamboo shoots is a highlight, offering a perfect balance of smokiness and spice. The Bodo fish curry, with its aromatic spices and tender fish, is another standout, providing a delightful burst of flavors.

For those new to Naga and Bodo cuisines, the restaurant offers tasting platters that provide a comprehensive introduction to the variety of dishes. The combination of textures and flavors in these platters is sure to captivate any palate.

The dessert menu features traditional sweets like pitha and sticky rice cakes, providing a perfect end to the meal. The drink selection includes local brews and refreshing herbal teas that complement the food beautifully.

Tribe Town Kitchen is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Naga and Bodo heritage through food. It’s the perfect spot for those looking to explore the rich culinary traditions of Northeast India in a welcoming and sophisticated setting. Highly recommended for food enthusiasts and...

I think this restaurant is overhyped. We went with much hope to have dinner. Ordered one pork thali (no smoked pork, I think it was Naga) and a veg thali with Pork ribs.

Pros: Good atmosphere & stuff. Service is ok.

Cons: Same person serves & handles the used dishes. Place is too small, they don't even have a proper place to wash hands. Cost vs portion & taste - very poor. Even if you ignore the cost and portion, you expect the pork dishes to taste better. But no, I felt pork was not tender enough. Varieties of meat included in the pork thali with 400+ price is laughable. The owner should visit nearby restaurants offering pork thali with that price range. (Refer to the pics) I read many comments about the pork ribs to be very good etc. I ordered the same & we have to struggle eating a single piece (thats all you get)- it was burnt at the edges & not cooked properly. I have had pork ribs at many places but never had such pathetic ribs ever. Sweet Dish: Rosogulla - tastewise no issues. But how this matches with Naga cuisine ?? Extra Service charge.. It make sense to pay for tip if you like the food.. but audacity to include service charge for already overpriced, average taste food.. is just WOW. (About service charge , it was mentioned in the menu at the bottom in small letters -easily misaable).

Conclusion: Don't bother visiting if you like pork. There are too many good options in GHY to go for. Just...

I recently visited TribeTown Kitchen eager to experience their ethnic Naga and Bodo cuisine. The ambience of the restaurant was inviting, providing a pleasant atmosphere for diners. However, one peculiar aspect was the repetitive playlist, which quickly became monotonous.

In terms of service, the staff were attentive and prompt, contributing to a positive dining experience. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to my high expectations.

We ordered two Naga pork thalis, one Bodo pork thali, chicken fingers, and pork ribs. The rice served in the thalis was disappointing; it seemed of low quality and did not taste fresh. The other items in the thalis were better, the pork quantity was satisfying and they followed our instructions to serve red meat and pork fat equally.

The chicken fingers were bland and lacked the expected flavor. As for the pork ribs, they appeared more like pork belly due to the excessive fat content, and the taste was just average.

Overall, the experience at Tribetown Kitchen felt like it wasn't value for money. The restaurant has a lot of potential but needs significant improvements in food quality to...

TribeTown Kitchen is an ethnic restaurant serving Naga and Bodo cuisines. The place itself is really beautiful, with the vibrant decor being quite pleasing to the eyes. While the food was decent, I believe there is some room for improvement. Service was good with the staff being quite attentive to our needs. Ordered: Chicken Fingers, Naga Pork Thali and Pork Ribs. The chicken fingers were decent and it came along with french fries. The pork ribs were delicious but I'm actually unsure if they were really ribs or pork belly. The thali was really filling and I loved the side dishes which were all tasty. However, the pork pieces could have been more tender. What impressed me most was the quantity of the food, which was truly adequate for the price. Prices are a tad bit on the expensive side. The lack of a proper washroom could be a problem at times. There is an outdoor sitting area as well. Overall, a pretty decent experience.
