A Culinary Delight Undermined by Dire Service: My Daryaganj Experience Daryaganj holds a special place in the hearts of many for its promise of authentic Indian flavors, and on the culinary front, it certainly delivered. The food, across the board, was nothing short of phenomenal. Each dish that graced our table was a testament to rich tradition and masterful preparation, leaving us thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste. From the appetizers to the main course, every bite was a delightful experience that truly hit the mark. However, the exceptional food was unfortunately overshadowed by a level of service that can only be described as pathetic, turning what should have been a memorable dining experience into a test of patience. From the moment we were seated as a group of eight, the inefficiencies began. We had a considerable wait for our initial order to even be taken, setting an unfortunate precedent for the rest of the evening. Once the snacks finally arrived, we found ourselves in a bizarre situation – eight eager diners, a table laden with delicious starters, and not a single server in sight to assist with serving. We were left to our own devices, a task that should have been seamlessly handled by the restaurant staff. This pattern continued with the main course; while the aromas were enticing, the lack of timely service meant we were again left to navigate the serving ourselves. The most frustrating aspect was the sheer inattentiveness of the staff. As our breads dwindled, no one came to inquire if we required more or if there was anything else we needed. It felt as though we were invisible. We had to actively call out to servers multiple times throughout the meal just to get their attention for basic requests. This constant need to flag down staff was incredibly frustrating and detracted significantly from the enjoyment of the otherwise brilliant food. Even at the very end, after the bill was settled, the apathy persisted. We had to specifically request mouth fresheners, a standard offering at most Indian restaurants, rather than having them proactively offered. It was yet another small detail that highlighted the overall lack of consideration for the customer experience. In conclusion, Daryaganj undeniably serves up some truly phenomenal food that is worth savoring. However, the appalling service, characterized by long waits, a complete lack of attentiveness, and the need to constantly chase down staff, severely marred our dining experience. While the kitchen clearly excels, the front-of-house operation is in dire need of a complete overhaul to match the high standards set by the culinary team. Until then, be prepared for a gastronomic delight, but also for a service experience that might test your patience to its limits.

We visited Daryaganj Restaurant today again with family for dinner, and once again, I normally don't leave reviews but the service level we have got there forced me to write one. it was an amazing experience! I honestly don't understand how anyone can give this place a 1-star review – maybe they don't have taste buds or don't know what real North Indian food tastes like. The service and dishes here are exceptional, and I can guarantee you will never be disappointed. This is true fine dining, with plenty of options to choose from, whether it's the starters or the main course. Their signature sweet dish, Firni, is the best – even if you're completely full, you'll end up finishing it! The mocktail options are endless, and every visit, you can try a new one and wonder why you didn't try it last time. This is our 4th visit in just two months, and we can't imagine going anywhere else when we want to have a family dinner or celebrate a special occasion. We're lucky to have Daryaganj in our area. The staff is incredibly polite, and both the chef and the manager are so friendly – it feels like we're eating at home. We hope they continue to add new dishes, and we'll keep coming here for every occasion. Don't pay attention to the 1-star reviews; this place is a gem!

The good part - 1) Music 2) Exposed red brick 🧱 interiors 3) Parathas The not so good part 1) The most overhyped meal I have had in recent times. Reminded me of Dominoes. 2) No warmth. Fine dining places should be cozy, inviting, warm. Instead ended up feeling cold ❄️ most of the time. 3) We ordered both new and old style butter chicken. Tasted super cold, gravy tasted undercooked to me. 4) Pointed out a scrap of butter paper with blue print (yes, your commercial butter has it too) in my gravy to the staff. 5) He said nothing, went away and came back with (again) super cold Gulab Jamun as a complimentary gesture. 6) Now Butter chicken is love and so is Gulab Jamun. It was disappointing even though it was complimentary. It looked like someone stirred up some premix or condensed milk. I mean, how do you ruin basics like Butter Chicken and Gulab Jamun. At least the Pudina Paratha was good. Bottom line- Ludhiana has far better options, at better rates, zero service charge and overall experience. I don't know who exactly invented the Dal or Chicken, but Ludhiana people cook them the best ✅. That turned out to be my lesson for the day.

Daryaganj restaurant in Ludhiana is a perfect introduction to the city's vibrant culinary scene, especially if you're new to town and eager to experience authentic local flavors. I recently visited for lunch with a friend who lives in Ludhiana, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the amazing ambiance. The restaurant boasts an incredible creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The service was outstanding, with Suraj going out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch.

The food at daryaganj restaurant was exceptional from start to finish. (Especially butter chicken and dal makhani)We started with some beautifully presented appetizers that were bursting with flavor, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. The mains were equally impressive, with a perfect balance of spices that highlighted the best of local cuisine. Even the desserts were a delight, capping off our meal on a high note Whether you're a visitor or a local, daryaganj restaurant is a must-visit spot in Ludhiana. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a unique atmosphere makes it a standout dining destination...
