I and my friend came here to have the North Indian Thali and South Indian Thali to review the food. We went into the AC hall for dining just to see if they really treat the customers well who are not with family. We entered and sat on a place and there was no one to attend us for 5minutes. Then the attendant came and gave the menu to order from. As we were not sure about what is included in the Thalis we asked the person and he rudely said "What do you want" and it is highly unprofessional that although we were 2 Bachelors but we had to go through such a behaviour by the staff there. The menu stated three types of thali, and when I asked about the North and South Indian mix thali the person rudely said tell me what you want to have north or south. After this behaviour i am pretty sure that this place is biased with the people from south and north as we were from North India. Although this place is since 1993, but i think as a reviewer i would comment that this place has degraded it's professionalism and quality of service to customers since then. I am highly disappointed with the behaviour and the way places are served or the food was served to us. Hence I am rating it a 1 star. Below is the brief of the overall experience we had:
North Indian Thali: 2/5 Dal was tasteless, chapati was cold and uncooked, soup was tasteless, South Indian Thali: 2/5 Puri were too small and too hard and cold, rasam was tasteless, the sweet kesari bath was more of like it's being prepared and kept for too long so it had lost its taste Masala Papad: 1/5 Papad was raw and the presentation was pathetic. I have attached the picture here for the same.
Overall experience: 1/5 Pathetic Behaviour of staff Food not properly presented Cold food Hard and raw items in the food Biased towards bachelors and north Indians They will bring lemon and water to wash your hands even when you are having food. I am attaching the picture for that as well to show the quality and professionalism this place has. I would not recommend this place to any of the bachelors and north Indians as it's totally biased and have highly unprofessional staff. I am writing this while i am having food at this place as i couldn't wait to write the review for such an unprofessional and...

As the name suggests, the athiti satkaar (hospitality / service) was also on the mark. They serve a wide array of dishes and every dish that we tried tasted great. The prices weren't heavy on the pocket either, though the size of the vada seemed small for the price we paid. The person who waited our table did a great job, be it answering our queries patiently or being upright about the wait time for any dish. Things that could be improved - Our table was a tad dirty with some grains of rice left over. Perhaps it wasn't either cleaned or haphazardly done. The place felt a little stuffy, even in the AC service hall, due to close placement of the tables and a lot of crowd. It was difficult to have conversation with a lot of cross-talk from around coming our way. Regarding the food, generous use of oil and ghee was a bit of dampener. Though the food tasted great, it left an uneasy and queasy feeling later.
Overall, it is a decently priced restaurant that serves tasty food, offers good service, and located in one of the busier parts of...

However, it's important to note that the seating arrangement is limited, with only a few seats available; the majority of patrons may need to stand while dining.
Operating on a self-service model, Athithi Satkar provides an environment where customers serve themselves. This approach might appeal to those seeking a quick and hassle-free dining experience.
The restaurant's focus on vegetarian cuisine caters to those with dietary preferences, offering a variety of vegetarian dishes for guests to choose from. However, due to the limited seating and self-service style, it may not be the ideal place for a leisurely, sit-down meal.
Overall, this hotel seems to be a convenient option for those looking for a clean and quick vegetarian dining experience in the Avenue Road area...
