One of the greatest moments in any parent's life is the first ever birthday celebration of their child. Ours was no different. We tried to put everything in place over a period of 3 weeks preceding the event, very painstakingly. This included the theme for the party, the venue, guest list, food menu, return gifts, decorations, music playlist....and the cake.
Both of us (me and my wife) did a good job with everything but the cake. I don't blame Aubree as much as I blame myself for choosing them. They did their "best". Now, here's a summary of the timeline:
I am asked to pay upfront once the design was shared. There's no concept of advance partial payment. They mixed the 2 design options which we shared with them. Not a big problem, but still. They put the name of the baby which was present in the sample. My son's name was printed on a ribbon in very small font. You had to see it up close. What's even insane is that they printed it like this - "1 ". I mean, who does that?! It was supposed to be " is 1" - I had made it absolutely clear in WhatsApp chats and asked them to double check what they were doing. Despite giving them 8 hours to correct the mistake, they did nothing until I showed up at their cloud kitchen. The cloud kitchen is another story. Customer support sounded helpless and asked for 2, 30, 5, 20, 60 and 10 minutes - in that order, within the same call. The correct ribbon (again, with the small font) was sent via DUNZO, AFTER I was told that it is about to reach in 15 minutes. Customer support to cloud kitchen - "give them some cupcakes". No, thank you!!
Not only did they ruin the mood, we also got late for the party. Imagine this - the guests were already at the venue before the hosts could make it. And yes, we had to leave the cloud kitchen without the cake. They somehow agreed to take it to the venue. I'm sure they think that's their redemption. It's not. The cake cutting was delayed by 2 hours because of them.
Apart from the terrible, terrible experience, I was hoping that the cake would be worth the money and pain. It wasn't. The fondant was chewy, very sugary and completely overpowered the taste of the underlying butterscotch. I think it was intentionally done to hide their incompetent culinary skills. My wife can and does bake way better than this.
Aubree - you should thank the person(s) who crafted the animals on top of the cake. That was the only saving grace for you among the mess which you created.
Let me also add that Aubree did their best, as mentioned earlier. So hey, they can't be blamed. Perhaps it also explains why they never apologized thereafter.
Avoid like the plague if you're booking them for a special occasion. I haven't visited their store, but I can confidently say that you won't miss much. There are a lot of people out there who bake with passion and deserve your patronage more than...

They charge primium price for all there cakes ... even the smallest request we ask they say you need to pay which is as costly as the cake for example request to Add No 8 years on the cake as a fonten type....they told we have already given instruction to factory can't make any changes we still had 2 days left for the Birthday celebration technically they had 48 hrs any customer would have some changes before the cake is prepared they were not ready to accommodate saying no changes will be allowed once the order is taken ... plus they charge for every single thing which is over priced ... when you request the to deliver they say they only hav 2 slots afternoon 3 or evening 5.30 pm that's the only time they will deliver... It's seems like we need to plan our celebration as per there time and the delivery is also not free that also cost a bomb 💣.... They made us feel like we are getting there cake on charity ....so they can dictate there teams on us ... Finally after lot of conversation with them we got fed-up finally decided cancelled the order ... We ordered somewhere else who is providing same quality/quantity/reasonably priced and also are so accommodating to customer requirements... Your running a business where you need to be more receptive and accommodating to requests which are given away in advance before the cake is prepared PPL are ready to pay primium price but if your not giving proper response or service no one will like to come to you place or recommend your products because you PPL lack basic things like customer service and lessoning to request which normally any cake shops would provide... They may make good cakes but this attitude will not last long or appropriated by anyone ... very very very bad...
Read moreI made a huge mistake by ordering a customized cake from them for my friend's birthday. I placed an order with them clearly showing a reference image for the customized cake but the spokesperson was so keen on getting "full payment in advance" that he didn't listen to the details properly nor did he check with the chef if this can be replicated or not. As a result, on the day of delivery in the afternoon, I got a call from them asking if I want butter cream finish or fondant finish (the cake was supposed to be delivered that day). When I saw the cake that was being delivered to me- IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! The only thing that was in place was the fresh flowers (apparently that's the only readymade thing that was supposed to be there on the cake). The cake was nothing close to the reference picture I gave them. I paid a load extra to them to place a laser cut topper on the cake which was completely missing from the cake. The cherry on the "cake" (pun intended) was their customer service- when I called to enquire about what has happened, all they did was transfer my call from one person to another. They had the audacity to say that nothing can be done at this hour as their "staff is not available". As if it's my fault that the cake was delivered like that. Getting my money back was another hassle altogether- I had to follow up day and night through calls/ texts with multiple people to get the refund. The customer service representative are indeed very good at seenzoning your texts and not picking up your calls. HATS OFF!
