I visited Beijing Bites with my family of six for a weekend lunch and ended up spending over ā¹6,000 (pre-discount). The ambiance was pleasant, and the food overall tasted quite good. Most of the dishes we tried were flavourful, especially the chicken and prawn preparations. That said, we did notice that although the dishes had different names, a few of them tasted quite similarālikely due to shared sauces or base ingredients. Still, they were tasty and enjoyable.
The service was courteous and efficient, which added to the positive experience while dining in.
However, the disappointment came post-meal. I had packed a paneer dish for takeaway, mainly because I found its taste and texture in the restaurant a bit off. At home, I performed an iodine test on the paneerāand it failed, indicating the possible use of adulterated or low-quality ingredients. This was concerning and quite disappointing, especially given the premium pricing of the meal.
While I did enjoy most of the food and appreciated the service, this paneer issue has left a sour aftertaste. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the paneer dishes, and it makes me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeijing bites is one of our goto place for Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately this visit to the chain in Koramangala didnāt go well after my partner found stone in burnt garlic noodles which almost caused chipped tooth.
The staff were prompt to apologise and replace.
For a restaurant that boasts so many awards esp from Zomato in 2024 they need to make sure the basics and cleanliness are right before every service everyday!
Food was tasty etc but damage was done and post that we just wanted to get done with it as out mood/outing was ruined and that too after 30mins of struggling to get a parking space.
During the billing they said they gave 10% discount and dint accept my Zomato payment.
Anyways , will give for a pass for sometime until that memory is erased and should have taken a cue when we found the restaurant was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQuality of food is Average. When I had visited for the first time, I was impressed with the taste of food. Second time experience was also not bad. Over a period of time in 6 months, they have reduced the quantity and the quality as well. It was just last week we had visited, in Sept 2012, the food was not so great as compared to other Beijing Bites. The Crispy American Choupsey was not so crispy. The taste of the choupsey sauce was bland and boring. Gobi manchurian dry had too much of red chilly flakes and made it unenjoyable spicy. I think the gobi was fried in a hurry, one could make out the raw smell of the corn floor and it was not crispy at all. I do not want to take chances of buying anything else from that place again. If one wants to badly go for a Chinese cuisine in the Forum Value Mall, this would be an...
