Read moreMy last edit was 8 years ago - check below (I used to live in Koramangala and this was a regular joint) I visited the restaurent last weekend again (after 3 years). Now its been about 28-30 years that I have known this hotel. Let me give you a brief feedback. This kind of depth you will not get anywhere so read on...
1 -have known the owners since a long time - great guys, used to run 6 outlets now down to 4 and this one is a classic too 2 - many of the workers including cooks, waiters have been here over 20 years on an average. Some of them used to play with my 2 and 4 year olds -now my kids are in late 20s...same workers, better service, massive human touch, very nice folks, gentle, humble and treat you well 3 - food has improved further, upgraded, new dishes added regularly 4 -restuarent has been through at least 3 -4 major overhaul infrastructure-wise. Better machines, cleaner and nice 5 - Nonveg -coastal, MLR style kitchen added separately upstairs with separate kitchen so the veg folks continue to enjoy their favourites 6 - overall this is a landmark in Koramangala. Despite the pathetic ruin and neglect of the main road, the stonehenge Ejipura flyover that never got done in 7 years, the restaurent still manages to gain superior traffic. Why - because they as a team care for you. Great place -dont miss. disclaimer -I am just a customer no other interests in this place. cheers

Read moreI recently visited Sukh Sagar Restaurant and ordered the Super Deluxe Thali. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, the service was disappointingly slow. It became apparent that the waitstaff prioritized customers based on their appearance, favoring those who seemed wealthy in hopes of receiving larger tips.
There were three waiters who displayed clear favoritism, only greeting and attending to the more affluent-looking patrons. Their main focus seemed to be on serving the rich, providing them with prompt and attentive service, including little gestures like offering hot water bowls for hand cleaning. In contrast, when I called for assistance, I was ignored multiple times, even though they clearly heard me.
This behavior is completely unacceptable and not what I expected from a restaurant reputed for its good quality. Sukh Sagar should address this issue and ensure that all customers receive equal and respectful treatment, regardless of how they appear.
Though I had initially planned to leave a tip, the waiters’ judgmental attitude and subpar service discouraged me. One of the waiters even rushed while serving my fried rice, almost throwing the food onto my plate. At the end, they had the audacity to explicitly ask for tips, which felt very unprofessional and greedy.
Tips should be earned through good service and given willingly, not demanded. Sukh Sagar Restaurant needs to train their staff better and remind them that every customer deserves...
