Visited Dialogues for a day long office meeting, when we as a team decided to take a day off from office and brainstorm on our priorities for the coming year.
Had no idea about what was in store before visiting ‘Dialogues’. Had actually envisioned a conference room kind of place, where we would sit and hold a meeting in a not so formal setup. But, was surprised to see that ‘Dialogues’ was not at all like what I had thought it would be - it was anything but ‘formal’.
We had actually been allotted a glass room with a huge rack of books (an exquisite collection of classics, management books, novels, magazines and what not), bean bags, floor cushions, coffee table - a perfect setting for ice breaking, brainstorming and innovating. We had a great interaction and every one just opened up in the congenial setup, which was amazing to say the least. ‘Dialogues’ also has a small kitchen, where the hosts prepare some juices, tea, coffee and some snacks. You will be surprised to hear this, buy the hosts also allow you to order food from outside.
The roof top with large number of tables and chairs, again offering an amazing atmosphere to hold dialogues is worth seeing. A little noisy though due to proximity to the crowded ‘Sony Signal’, the place is still worth the visit.
You would love the concept and won’t be able to hold yourself back from recommending the place to your friends...
Read moreWent to this cafe after reading so many positive reviews but ended up coming out disappointed. For starters, the sign board is easy to miss and there is no dedicated parking (that I could find). On entering the cafe, the staff greeted me and immediately pointed me to a table. The place has such nooks and corners to work quietly from, which is a good thing. The attitude of the staff was pleasant from the beginning till end, props to them for that. Where I have a real problem is with the food. The menu could do with a thorough re-work and the taste does not justify the high price. For example, I ordered hot chocolate. Now, for 250 odd bucks, one would expect it to have real melted chocolate in it. I Why I am stating this, because I have had much better hot chocolate for similar or lesser prices. However, it felt and tasted as if Hershey's chocolate powder was mixed in hot milk and given to me. I could very well do that at home and save the money. Oh, and the complementary Wi-Fi that was provided, that was slow too. Slow to the point that I had to switch to mobile hotspot to do a Teams call. Overall, a lot left to be desired, and...
Read morewe were seventeen of us gathering for a planned meet after having looked at TBH and other cafes. one of us knew the founders and we firmed up on this place. the decision was great.
there's two and-a-half floors of space. you enter the cafe and you see a room full of books and a screen for projection. comfy bean bags litter the room.
a huge blackboard greets you with planned events like Soap Making sprinkled between Pottery and Digital Marketing. very interesting medley of workshops, i must say.
you walk around and there's an open area with a few tables. look up and you see a deck. to get to it, you take a set of wrought iron stairs.
once you get to the deck, you have an open area for sitting, a semi-closed area where we all parked ourselves, and an open terrace for smokers.
people click away on their laptops or huddle in groups to talk. we gathered to swap notes, laugh, and have a good time.
all in all, a great place for digital nomads and arty types that's very reminiscent of downtown San Francisco or SOHO.
yes, we are...
