Biryani By Kilo A popular brand in INDIA that dishes out delectable biryani in handi by 1/2 Kilo or 1 Kilo portions. Having gained immense popularity across cities like Mumbai, Delhi and other popular cities they have now entered Bengaluru down south. When I found out that they have opened operations in Zomato, I chose to place an order to relish some biryani for dinner.

What I ordered Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani - 1/2 Kilo Chicken Ghee roast in appetisers Matka Phirnii - 1/2 Kilo

Must admit after a long got to relish such perfect textbook Biryani Each grain is moist aromatic and full of flavours - chicken is tender and just falls off the bone The spice level is bang on. Chicken ghee roast in appetisers is a classy one full of ghee and chicken cooked in rustic spices. Matka phirnii is rich creamy and dense - a fantastic finish to my meal

FOOD - EXCELLENT in a word If one is in mood for relishing biryani this one is a must try - 5/5

Packing - 5/5 They used earthen pots for biryani (aanch served along keeps the biryani warm ), matka phirnii is chilled and is spill proof.

NOTE - They take about 60 to 90 minutes time to deliver once order is placed So be patient - Reason they take that long - once you place order they start preparing and then deliver freshly. That's the USP for Biryani by Kilo

Biryani by Kilo is one such brand that never fails to disappoint when it comes to their luxurious range of Kebabs and mains. The first of its kind to introduce the unique concept of food by their weight, i.e Kilos, the place has come a long way into serving wholesome varieties of mouthwatering Biryanis. The dishes I tried include:

🔹Chicken 65: Spicy Chicken dish with Onions and bits of Coconut, that makes for a fine Starter and can even accompany as a side!

🔹Chicken Hyderabadi Dum Biryani : The Biryani comes with 4 generous pieces of Chicken, and can easily fill the tummy of two adults. Best part is that the Handi comes with an Aanch that can be used before last minute servings.

🔹Matka Phirni : A perfect Dessert to end your meal with, this is a classic rendition of the semi-solid Phirni we're otherwise aquainted to. The Phirni comes in a Matka, has a thick liquid form, and comes enriched with Earthy flavours, with the essence of saffron and almonds. Undoubtedly my favourite! 😊

Biryani By Kilo is quite a famous Biryani chain with multiple outlets across India. Recently they have launched in Namma Bengaluru as well. So, I was quite excited to try them. I ordered their Hyderabadi Veg Dum Biryani, Paneer Dum Biryani, Veg Kebab Platter and Phirni. The packaging was really nice. All their Biryanis were cooked traditionally Dum Style in a Handi. They also provided a setup to reheat the Biryani. I loved the fact their Biryanis are cooked freshly (no reheat) upon an order and that’s why the standard delivery time is slightly high, which is 90 mins. The Kebab Platter had 4 types of appetizers which tasted pretty good. I especially loved the crispy corn stick a lot. The biryanis were served with good portions of salan and salad. The texture and aroma of biryani was really good. The biryanis tasted quite flavorful with a good amount of veggies. Phirni was so thick and creamy making it the best way to end a great meal.
