A single tiny cup of tea — without any warning during ordering. When I questioned it, instead of apologizing, the staff casually shrugged and blamed the “head office” like it’s normal practice to fool customers. Absolutely no ownership. • Another Ridiculous Incident: On another visit, I wasn’t even in the mood for coffee or tea. I decided to grab a simple energy drink from their fridge. Guess what? The staff informed me that I must buy TWO cans — they refuse to bill just one. Seriously, since when do cafés force customers to buy double the quantity just because they feel like it? First off, the place is just not maintained. No working plug points, broken fan, and the AC might as well be a wall decoration. The washroom? Always a gamble. Either there’s no water, or the taps barely work. For a brand like CCD, that’s really disappointing.

Staff Seem More Focused on Sales Than Service

From the moment you walk in, there’s pressure to place an order immediately — even before you’ve settled in. It doesn’t feel welcoming at all. Worse, they suddenly throw a minimum billing amount at you (₹500, in our case) just to sit inside — something that’s never mentioned upfront. It felt very forced and out of place for a café.

One Coffee Isn’t Enough?

Another time, I went with a friend. I ordered, and my friend didn’t want anything — we were just planning to sit for 10–15 minutes. But the staff refused to let us stay unless we ordered two separate items. They wouldn’t even let us share the bill. I’ve never had this happen in any café before — it just felt unnecessarily rigid.
