Visited this place for a cake for birthday occasion on 21st-Mar-2022, on 21st evening during cake cutting we noticed the cake had a dry powdery texture with spoilt appearance. On further tasting the cake, it had a taste of Acetone. The instance totally spoilt the occasion creating embarrassment in front of other guests in the party. On the same evening, I went back to the outlet and asked the shopkeeper to taste the cake, he too confirmed it was a spoilt cake and registered my complaint as there was not other choice. I returned the entire cake. The storekeeper further told me that the cakes they sell is prepared by an external agency hence they will contact the agency first and then update me the status of my complaint on 22nd morning. No call received from the store, hence I called the customer care and repeated what happened. They too told that they'll get in touch with the store and call back in 2minutes. It's been 3 days now and not even a single call from CHEF BAKERS. Now, neither the store nor the customer support are receiving my calls. Chef Bakers please note: I do not want a refund or a replacement, but what customers like us expect from brands like you is a basic courtesy from you to reply to our feedback on your products. Please improve your quality control. I request all customers to please taste a sample of the cake you are buying for your special occasion, to be on the safer side. I'm a regular customer of chef bakers and I have been placing orders twice a week atleast as my kids are cake lovers and the cakes I get are very tasty and good.... I.placed an order for my kid s 5th birthday and i wanted a 3kg eggless peppa pig theme cake and I got an excellent cake more than my expectations...very tasty and delivery was on time without any hassles..as per my requirements ... My kid was overjoyed seeing it and everyone liked it too...thanks a lot for making my kids special day more special by this...

Now a days the taste and quality doesn't feel like Chefs Bakers brand. Writing this after I bought 2nd time pastry for my kid recently. I bought Butter scotch and black forest but the 1st one was not fresh. Same thing happened earlier and sales person told "Sir you might have kept it for long time". Anyway no more Chefs Bakers from my side. Hope this is not the case in other outlets.
