Sharing this on a bitter note here. After being their customer who has ordered food from here many times, today’s experience has left a huge disappointment on me. Mr.Janardhan sir was handling my order. He seemed very sweet when the order was being taken. I had ordered a bento cake for my nephews 2nd month celebration. You bakers should know that cakes are always ordered for special occasions and the always make a huge part of celebrations. According to my knowledge as well as google (picture attached below)bento cakes range anywhere between 250-300 gms and even when asked to janardhan sir regarding the same he too mentioned it would be around 250gms ( picture attached below) but when I Received the cake which by the way I Received about an hour later than than the time I was supposed to be receiving it, it was hardly 150 gms. The thing to take note here is that I had paid an amount of 1000 rupees for this. Here the money was not the issue, the fact that I was not getting my moneys worth was the issue, and receiving it from a place which has been dear to me was the issue. Janardhan sir was not accepting the fact that when promised a cake of 250gms he can’t be giving the customer literally half the size of it. I accept that I was rude because my celebration was delayed and spoiled by your acts of service, but instead of accepting the mistake janardhan sir kept on saying we only tell an approximate weight and not the real weight. An approximate weight I get a difference of say 10-20gms is acceptable but this was more than 100gms and totally unacceptable. Today also when I had come to your cafe I ordered a banana walnut cake and enjoyed. When I had received the cake and weighed it I accept that accidentally I had made a mark on the cake for which I was ready to pay whatever but janardhan sir kept on saying the same thing and not accepting the mistake. Even though the money was returned, you will not be able to return my todays celebration, my time wasted, my event spoiled because of your service. I really wish you don’t do this to others. I accept that I was rude because my event was spoiled by you people, but janardhan sir who says he has many outlets, can at the least accept the mistake and handle...
Read moreWe ordered a customized cake for our baby's half birthday, the lady (owner of the bakery - Deepthi) took the order and agreed to make the same type.
When we went to collect the order on delivery day, this cake work was awkward looking and we were not happy at all.
We asked Deepthi to make changes as expected but she started arguments and behaved very rudely. She wasn't ready to accept her mistake and asked us to leave the cake and go. Guests were waiting at home for a celebration where we cannot afford to leave the cake and go back. She took the advantage of the situation and made sure we take the cake and pay the full amount. She justifies herself as the best cake maker for 6 years and never made a single mistake which is a blunder. We humans, make mistakes and, should agree and make the customer happy.
Later her husband spoke over the phone and he threatened us stating he will come to the store and fight with us, though we were waiting for his arrival, they did all drama with the chef in the kitchen to modify the cake which failed.
We never come across such rude behavior/pathetic service from a vendor who comes from a different state and rules the native people of Bangalore.
I have informed all my friends and relatives to avoid this cake store so that they won't have to go through this horrible experience.
We paid the full amount for this so called cake and the taste was horrible. None of our guests liked it. we ended up throwing this cake in the trash. Didn't even match the taste of local Iyengar bakery.
