This place got my attention while driving past this on a weekend morning. It was really crowded. So, we had been planning to try the food there for a while. Finally, we managed to go there for a breakfast. The obvious choice was benne dose. They do prepare it in the traditional wood fire stove. Other than the dose with a lot of country made butter, the palya and chutney also plays a big role in making the Davanagere benne dose complete. The dose was good and the palya was also almost perfect. The chutney was not up to the mark. When I tried the Dose at an outlet at Davanagere the main player was the chutney. The moment it touches your tongue it a kind of wraps your tongue and fills your mouth with a punch of green chilli heat. That was missing. Still the overall experience was worth the try. We will surely try again. Getting a seat to sit and eat will be a challenge as they just have around 20 seats and they will be always occupied. The token system was really good and people could plan to grab a possibly freeing table with a bit...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Davangere Benne Dose Hotel and was delighted by the scrumptious offerings. The taste was impeccable, and the variety of dishes I tried left a lasting impression on my taste buds.
The butter dosa I ordered was a true delight – perfectly crisp and generously topped with a flavorful spread of butter. The puffed rice had just the right amount of crunch, and the paddu was a delightful surprise with its unique blend of flavors.

Overall, Davangere Benne Dose Hotel offers a fantastic gastronomic journey with its delectable menu. I highly recommend trying their offerings for a delightful treat, though it might be more suited for special occasions or occasional indulgence, considering...
