Reconnecting with Good Food and Good Company! After a long hiatus, I finally got the chance to savor a delightful Saturday breakfast with friends at this cozy little bakery. The moment we stepped in, we were embraced by a warm, rustic ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The menu offered a fantastic array of options that were both delicious and pocket-friendly, making it easy to indulge without breaking the bank. We savored every bite, relishing the flavors and the quality of the ingredients used. While the outside seating area provided a charming setting, the warmth of the day did make it a tad uncomfortable. Thankfully, the inside area offered a respite, albeit with a slightly humid atmosphere. However, these minor inconveniences were easily overshadowed by the sheer joy of reconnecting with loved ones over good food. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that we left feeling thoroughly satisfied and content. In fact, the hearty meals were enough to keep us fueled until our next culinary expedition in the evening. Overall, this bakery provided the perfect setting for catching up with friends, indulging in delectable treats, and creating cherished memories. It's a hidden gem that strikes the perfect balance between quality, affordability, and a cozy ambiance – a combination that'll keep us coming back for more.
Review 2: "A Hidden Urban Oasis: Where Breakfast Dreams Come True" The breakfast option is nothing short of impressive. From freshly baked croissants and artisanal breads to hearty egg dishes, they've mastered the art of morning fare. What sets them apart is their flexible menu approach – you can mix and match items to create your perfect breakfast plate. Their homemade jams and preserves are a must-try! The coffee program deserves special mention. Whether you're in the mood for a robust espresso or a velvety latte, their baristas consistently deliver exceptional cups that pair perfectly with their baked goods or is it machine made. This bakery isn't just about the food – it's about the experience of sharing unhurried moments with loved ones in a uniquely peaceful setting. Pro tip: Their weekend brunch gets busy, so make a reservation or come early to secure your preferred spot. Perfect for: Family brunches, catch-ups with friends, or a peaceful solo breakfast with...
Read more29thMar25 - Our first visit today to Glen's bakehouse Whitefield branch for weekend breakfast. Go here for the vibe, not for the food or service.
It's a rustic huge building with open garden and wood fired pizza area. Feels lovely to sit and enjoy the vibes and cleanliness. Great location with considerable open parking of their own for around 6 cars and two wheelers with a valet available. Food options available are extensive specially the bakery items like pastry, puff, tarts etc. We opted for their weekend specific English breakfast veg for Rs 446 AI and one combo breakfast veg for Rs 318. They charge 5% GST and no service charges. Reducing 2 stars for their messed up service in the order, also non-transparency about items. They didn't give Brioche option mentioned, only one condiment with the waffle, only butter/jam, whereas the main menu says otherwise. When questioned, the waiter said we are changing our menu. Same with combo breakfast where bagel was denied. We were also denied MagicPin payment initially which was accepted after a discussion. Order of veg croquette arrived with chicken sausages and rechecked that it was mentioned as veg in their system. Toasted multigrain bread arrived as plain. Slice of cake, cinnamon roll are miniature sized, 1/4th of waffle piece. Cinnamon roll was horribly dry. The things we enjoyed were cappuccino, veg croquette, eggs. Inside seating area is nicely maintained. Service can be largely improved, with only 3-4 tables occupied that time, mistakes happened. Liked the fact that, they ask and serve you cut fruits first, then the platter and lastly bring the coffee. There is no sauteed veggies given in the veg platter. White butter was the one they make in their bakery. Repeatable place, overall it...
Read moreAfter craving for a decent Eggs Benedict here in Bangalore I decide to try {Glensbakehouse} out of the list of restaurants that serve them.
So woke up one early Sunday morning ended up there & ordered a decent Eggs Benedict + a Hot Mokka to enjoy it with.
I must mention the decor is super great, with wonderful option for indoor & outdoor seating, with quirky quotes & wonderful decor to suit them.
While I had different variations across the globe, never tried the Indian version & this being my first, was a little skeptical.
What I received was two poached eggs, each sitting tightly on a bed of cooked chicken salami atop English muffins. The accompanied potato lingers were beautifully cooked with loads of red chilli, that added to the Indian twist.
Look wise, it was not the most good looking Benedict I have had, the poached eggs were more flat & not the white spheres I am more used too.
What was striking was the missing yellow holaindaise sauce goodness, the egg yolks not being completely runny & slightly over cooked, the poached eggs being flat & not completely white.
But with all these heavy misses, I still loved the eggs Benedict served, it was nice, flavourful & helped me satiate my Eggs Benedict hunger for some time.
The Hot Mokka was a hit with beautiful but strong chocolate flavour with a tinge of coconut (I guess), made my day so early in the morning.
They may not have delivered it right with the Eggs Benedict for me, but am definitely coming back here for what they are famous for, especially their Red Velvet.
Expect me to return with another of my culinary ventures to find that perfect Eggs Benedict in another outlet, in another time, here in...
