Though the pub isn’t massive, it’s well-designed with two levels (G+1), offering a cozy yet lively vibe. The small dance floor might get packed quickly, but that only adds to the high-energy experience!

The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Mr. Prasad was especially great in serving and suggesting dishes, making our visit even better.

Ambience: 5/5 Situated near Katriguppe signal, Gulp is an amazing addition to the variety of places around Katriguppe. What seems to be an easy to miss place while seen from the busy streets, the place opens up beautifully into a two storey dining area with very pretty, comfortable sofas and colourful walls. The place isn't huge but cozy and classy.

On a side note, parking could be a problem. They have a small space on the footpath for 2 wheelers. Parking cars would be a challenge.

Food and drinks: 5/5 I went to this place by myself so I can't be a judge of a wide number of items from the menu. I ordered Indian style nachos (basically fried and spiced fryums), boiled peanut masala which was an amazing bar bite and Thai green curry for appetizers. The Thai green curry was a tasty dish and was on par with what I've had in similar restobars. What could be better is if the steamed rice was long grain basmati rice and to not add any dye to the green curry.

Like its name, the place definitely served gulp-worthy drinks. The spirit world is creative, served with eye catching presentation in the most unique glassware. There are dozens and dozens of craft cocktails that come together beautifully on the palette. I tried the New Monk, Passion fruit LIIT and Espresso martini and after the first sip, I knew I had ordered great drinks. I definitely want to visit again to try a few more cocktails.

Service: 4/5 It was a weekend afternoon and when I visited, there was a party hence dining was limited to only the ground floor with most of the stewards busy catering to the needs of the party so drinks and food made it to my table slower than expected. Paikoraj was the star steward. He single handedly handled all the orders on the dining floor and even served all the drinks and food. Kudos to the lad.

GULP in Banashankari is a unique all day neighborhood bar that perfectly blends creativity with comfort. Known for its innovative drinks and a fantastic food menu, it’s the go to spot for those looking to enjoy both fancy cocktails and flavorful dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the highlights of GULP is the presentation of their drinks. Whether it's served in a boot-shaped glass, a skull, or even a coconut shell, each drink comes with a fun, quirky touch that makes it memorable. It's a feast for both your taste buds and your eyes!

We were particularly excited to try their Nati Menu, which is all about celebrating local flavors and spices. Every item we tried was cooked to perfection and packed with authentic, bold flavors. The Egg Tava Fry, featuring boiled eggs fried in a green, spicy masala, was a delightful twist. The Kaleja Fry, liver cooked with freshly ground cornpepper masala, was rich and flavorful. Their Chicken Kabab, red and deep fried, had just the right amount of crisp and spice. A must-try was the Mini Ragi Unde (ragi mudde), served with ghee and accompanied by a delicious saag curry. For something different, the Goli Bhajji offered a crunchy, satisfying snack.

For dessert, we had one of the most theatrical experiences we've ever had a vanilla ice cream skull covered in chocolate, which they light on fire and then smash with a wooden hammer! It was as much about the show as it was about the dessert, and it didn’t disappoint.

The ambiance is another standout feature. The bar has a huge motorized roof that they open post sunset, adding an open air feel to the space. It's the perfect setting for a laid-back evening with friends, surrounded by a mix of great food, drinks, and fun vibes. They organise live music on weekends.
