Today I had been to Kathreguppe Big bazaar. It was a good experience till I went for billing. ď The counter staff started promoting Big bazaar credit card which I denied politely for several times. Later she started to promote Future pay app for few minutes, and I agreed to download as it is free and it may help her for referral thing. When I was about to pay money, she mentioned that I got Rs. 100 off from app and again started promoting credit card (it requires us to deposit 10k into the card). When I denied, she started talking rude. She told me â100 rupees goskara app download madthira, 10 thousand kottu card thagolakke agalvaâ(When you can download app for free Rs.100, why canât you pay 10k and buy credit card) sarcastically. ⢠First of all, I downloaded app because of her forceful promotion. ⢠Secondly that is not the way to talk to a customer. ⢠And not everyone can afford to pay 10k at a time. Later I heard same lady was saying to next customer in loud voice that you asked me to bill, I did, and I canât do anything for error in bill, go ask in customer service department. Wow what a customer service. Hats off. ď After payment, I found discrepancies in billing amount for which I have to stand in another que. The offer and price mentioned on shelves were not matching with bill for few items. If you donât check the bill you will get overcharged!!!? ⢠Quinoa was on buy one get one free, but I was charged for both pcs. Customer service department guy agreed to adjust after checking with Staples department. It doesnât stop there, he doesnât want to pay my difference amount. Instead he wanted me to shop again with difference money for which I have to argue. Ridiculous!!! People donât want to pay back my own money after charging wrongly. ⢠Next item whole moong dal. The display price was Rs.105 but I was charged Rs 107. The reason given by staple department representative was Rs. 105 is future pay price. But, display price card didnât mention that. Had only price with item name (no selling price detail unlike other tags). Its not the matter of 2 rupees, but itâs about people trust. It shows how manipulative and unethical are these people. ď The display price tags on shelves are very misleading, confusing and doesnât have uniform format. Some have big Selling price font, some have very big future pay price with small selling price font which you canât even read. Not to forget some doesnât even display selling price (as mentioned by your employee in moong dal case).
Big bazaar should look into this manipulative practice asap and should...
