I recently visited Tazza Thindi located near Kathriguppe, drawn by its reputation as a popular dining spot in the area. My initial impression of the restaurant was overwhelmingly positive, largely due to its expansive open spaces that provide a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
One notable aspect that stood out during my visit was the efficiency of the billing counter process. The speed at which transactions were conducted was commendable. The restaurant has streamlined the payment process by attaching a price menu, allowing patrons to easily calculate their expenses. The transparent inclusion of a 5% GST on the menu simplifies the final amount calculation. After settling the bill, a token is promptly provided, expediting the order fulfillment process.
Upon receiving the token, the next step is to present it at the designated counter. I was pleasantly surprised by the rapidity with which my order was prepared—within a mere two minutes. This swift service undoubtedly adds to the overall positive dining experience.
For my meal, I opted for the masala dosa, a signature dish at Tazza Thindi. The dosa had a unique twist—it was notably thick in texture compared to traditional dosas. Despite its thickness, the culinary experts at Tazza Thindi managed to achieve a delightful crunchiness, possibly owing to a generous application of oil or a special technique. The stuffing inside the dosa was flavorful, enhancing the overall taste.
However, one aspect that may be a consideration for some patrons is the significant amount of oil used in the dosa preparation. While the flavors are undoubtedly enticing, the richness of the dosa might limit the quantity one can comfortably consume.
In conclusion, Tazza Thindi offers a distinctive and enjoyable dining experience. The spacious ambiance, efficient billing process, and swift service contribute to the restaurant's popularity. The masala dosa, with its unique thickness and delectable stuffing, is a must-try for dosa enthusiasts. However, it's advisable to be mindful of the oil content, as it can impact the overall dining experience for those cautious about their oil intake. Despite this, the memorable taste and efficient service make Tazza Thindi a noteworthy choice for those seeking a satisfying...
Read moreTo begin with, I'm completely new to this place. My friend took me here to have quick bite in evening. This place is crowded at any time. But no worries super fast self servicing at respective food counters.( Best Idea) There's only one or two table to have your food, many are made for quick bite (standing) and best is outdoor seats. Such a great Ambiance, lovely place to enjoy your food.
Coming to food, We tried Masala Dose, Plain Dose, Idly-Vada. Dose items were great, Roasted evenly , crispy and chutney is perfect match for it. Idly-Vada was excellent, Idly was way too soft as it would melt in Chutney. Vada is completely non-oily, very crispy and soft. Idly-Vada resembles little like Veena stores. Moreover every dish is served hot, which makes taste even better. Finally the coffee, it will be little strong but perfectly balanced with sweetness. Having coffee after your lovely food in morning and evening is such a bliss.
Coming to prices, I was completely shocked by looking into price, it was way too cheaper than most of hotel which come under this category. With 100 rupees in your hand, it will feed two persons completely Along with coffee.
A must visit place for those who love having South Indian Foods. Worthy of your time and satisfaction...

Second 'impressive' impression: Super clean and hygienic place which serves quite tasty fare at highly reasonable prices which is totally worth visiting it. We had outdoor seating with good ventilation. The place itslef has multiple counters which are well segregated. This allows lesser crowd and more scope of social distancing.
We tried masala dosa, idli vada, khara baath and pineapple kesari bath along with mandatory coffee.
Masala dosa was crispy and largely done nicey, few were over baked. Masala/ potato curry was bit watery for my liking, But chutney was awesome and just perfect
Same goes to vada which was crispy amd nicely done along with idle but here chutney was quite watery.
Pineapple kesaribath was too good whilst much advertised kharabath was quite a let down. Coffee was the best of all.
Pakribg is available for two wheelers but cars will find space for kerb side parking.
Very clean hand wash and toilets are available.
Surprisingly for suxh a place which scores high on hospitalily and hygienic 'no touch'options - which includes diah washer by the way - they DO not accept digital or card payments, only cash!
But all in all...
