I have visited this place a couple of times... both for dine-in as well as takeaway. Here are my true ratings
Food - 8/10 - No doubt one of the best biryanis - in terms of quality, taste and quantity. Their combo, which is NOT available for online orders, but only for takeaway, is very filling.
Ethics - 1/10 * - This is the first place where they add a direct 5% OF THE BILL AMOUNT as "PACKING CHARGES". How low can one get ... just to cheat for a little more money!!! - See image of bill....
If you order a Tandoori for about 400/- they add 20/- for the silver polyethene cover!!!! .. which may cost about 0.5 rupees at the most! I had taken my own cloth bag and insisted that they use my bag only, to which the cashier said they dont charge us for the bag that they give. And yet a DIRECT 5% of TOTAL BILL VALUE goes as PACKING CHARGES!!!
What I dont understand is that if we dine in, we have someone to wait on us, use their cutlery, use their washroom and wash our hands in their water, and enjoy their A/C on comfortable chairs. But if we make a takeaway of the same item, we have to be taxed 5% more? This is beyond illogical. Its unethical too... just because most people dont check their bills and the 5% looks like GST or something!
I seriously wish that more people complain or boycott such restaurants who always aim...
Read moreThis has happened several times, and I only wish to post a review now because I had to get diagnosed after eating here. The servers there think that boys who don't come along with family don't recognise the quality of meat served and have served us old food from yesterday atleast thrice until now, and every time we have sent it back. This time I was sitting alone after a workout session and I did recognise the meat being rubber quality but I thought maybe I'm too exhausted to recognise and that it wasn't like rubber in all places. So I went ahead and ate it, now I'm spending 5k+ of medicine and diagnosis because I got a thyroid infection. The reason for visiting such a place even though this has happened in the past is because RRnagar doesn't have that many nice places for non vegetarian food and this establishment takes advantage of that fact to utilise their ingredients in a scrupulous manner. This is evil, we need more food inspection units in the city for...
Read moreI have been a regular customer of this restaurant for a long time and have always enjoyed my visits—until now. My recent order of Boneless Chicken Biryani and Chicken 65 was a complete disaster. Despite ordering boneless biryani, what I received were raw, uncooked chicken thigh pieces. Even worse, the Chicken 65 also consisted of raw thigh pieces. I immediately complained and asked them to cook the meat properly, but they simply served the same undercooked pieces again. To make matters worse, the price was very expensive for such poor quality and unsafe food. This is not only unacceptable but extremely dangerous from a health perspective. I’m deeply disappointed that a place I trusted could serve such poorly handled food at such a high cost. I strongly urge the management to take immediate action to prevent this from happening to others. This experience was extremely unsatisfactory, overpriced, and completely...
