If you know hindi you can surely relate to this place... Jalsa means nothing but celebration.. jalsa is located at marathalli and severs north Indian and mughlai cuisine.. Location : Located on the busy street if marathalli. (It's on the service road towards k r puram. Doddanna kundi. It's a place no one can miss. The location on Google and zomato is very accurate.. They have ample parking space for 2 wheeler and 4 wheelers.
Ambience : Jalsa it's self means celebration and surely the ambience has to grand and nice. Walking though a huge door enterence gives u a feel of a royal feel, and as u enter good dim light, beautiful seating arrangements. Very good colourfull cushions tall window and (extraordinary) chandeller ...
What we had :
As the zakam : Never though pineapple juice and bacadi is good combination. How ever I am not a bacadi person. My friend did enjoy this .
Funky toffee : This one is a mocktail made with chocolate and fresh cream. (I am guessing this)and topped with chocolate sauce.. surely a must try for any chocolate lover.
Nawabi rofit : A cocktail that was whisky base..I did not try this..
Apart from these when u visit north Indian restaurant how can we Not try the chaas, lassi and Jal jeera.
Karela salad : The salad was well presented. Karela (bitter melon) the only vegetable I would not think of eating, my friends tried and then insisted me to have too. It had tangy Flavour, and karela was kind of deep fried before adding them to salad. Tased entirely different and guess what we did order one more the same. This happens to be thier signature dish.
Bhindi Kurkure: Kurkure means crispy and Bhindi means okra. This spicy, crispy okra is simply delicious. The okra is marinated in spices, coated with flour, and then deep fried for a satisfying crunch. It was delicious
Multhani paneer tikka : Panner was soft and very fresh. Tasted good. By new we had understood that thier presentation of dishes was nice and unique.
Bharwani khumb : These were stuffed mushroom and topped with some delicious cheese. A perfect bite size appitizer .
Tandoori jingha : I am totallly a sea food lover and this prawns was cooked to perfection and well maritaned I love the spicy flavour, but for my friends this a little more spicy. content image
Hot and Sour Lamb Chops : I dont have Mutton, but my friends really enjoyed it..
Moving on to main course we ordered for 12 pulkas along with veg and non vegetarian gravies.. Bhojpuri Dum Aloo, Kadai Vegetable, Mutton Rogan Josh and Desi Dum ka Murgh... all the gravies were excellent. rich in favours and taste. The biryani was severed in earthen vessels and had good aroma.. very mildly spiced..
I was almost full by now, but as usual had to keep some space for having the desserts.. so moving on to the desserts. We had Rabdi Malpua & Homemade Kulfi.. both the desserts were excellent..
Overall experience : Totally a delightful royal experience.. From the time we entered, till we left everything was excellent, the ambience, the service.. not to forget the wonderful present when each dish was served.. This is surely a perfect choose to catch up with friends or have a celebration among family members..
Live long... Never...
Read more{Jalsa} has been on my radar for a very long time, 5 years to be precise. Meanwhile I have been recommending them to friend’s & family based on hearsay on how great their Prawns were.
So finally ended up here on a unplanned dinner with family, that too when we happened to be vegetarian. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the meal as much as I would enjoy usually. Started with ordering masala papad, & some Shorba. The papad was nice & for a change deep fried, and a little too spicy to the family’s liking, but I loved it. The mushroom Shorba was more like a cream of mushroom, but was so fabulous that we ordered another portion to share. Though we were a little disappointed to know the other vegetarian Shorbas were not available that day to try.
For starters, we ordered cheese balls, Dahi Kebab, Paneer Hariyali. Everything was perfect, except the Dahi Kebabs I have had elsewhere was better than this one here.
For mains we ordered some Roti & Naans which were perfectly cooked & tasted yumm with the Paneer Begum Bahar we ordered, though it was not spicy (as we were warned) the flavour was good enough for me, but not for the family.
The Shahi Subz Biriyani was decent with good flavours of veggies throughout the rice.
Overall it was a great veg dining experience that made us come back so on after, for their weekend buffet.
Again a huge family of 6 with kids, service could not be better, the food on the menu was fabulous too.
The starters were served at our table and they all came quiet quickly, after another, alongside the soup. Unlike the starters, the hot & Sour Chicken soup was a bit of a let down I must say, was a little too off flavour for me. The Tandoori Murg was perfectly cooked bursting with great flavours & I absolutely loved it. The Fish & Prawns were nice & was enjoyed by the whole family.
Surprisingly what we also enjoyed the most were the samples of Bhendi Dry, & Karela Salad from the vegetarian selection.
The buffet was a small but good quality spread, we loved the Biriyani, Railway Mutton Curry.
The desserts were good, especially the Indian ones, the mini donut was not good, & could have been avoided overall.
A great VFM buffet if you are looking for good food, in a beautiful ambiance with...
Read moreA well decorated interior giving a lucknowy/moghul feel. Couped tables for four with glittery beaded string, colorful dim lights. A very vintage ambience. Booking table is a must at least on Fridays. Located on the outer ring road , on the main road. It's a fine dine restaurant so prices are on the higher end. We were two, me and Arijit(not the singer 😋). We went for à la carte, started with a mock tail JANNAT E JAAM costing 299 each but not worth. It was combination of.few things with Black current flavor and was not so tasty. Post that we had ordered Tandoori Murgh and Mutton Biryani. The service was very slow as in it took about 40 mins for the tandoori Murgh to be served bit it also could be they might have prepared to t fresh, so no worries. The tandoori Murgh was perfectly tandoored from outside which was rightly cooked. It was crispy outside and soft and juicy inside. I was so used to having this item from Kabab magic that now I could understand how tandoori items should be cooked(already my mouth is watering explaining this 😁). Ending with Ghost Dum Biryani, good quantity for two with 4 pieces of decently sized muttons which also dum'ed till the right time. Colored rice on the top and masala and mutton on bottom. Spices added quite evenly which allowed us enjoy every bit of it. Overall a good experience for a change having food in the shahi restaurant. Ambience - 5 Food - 4(tandoori Murgh - 5, Ghost biryani - 5 and JANNAT E JAAM -...
