Karibu — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I recently had lunch at Karibu Restaurant in The Zuri, Whitefield, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with elegant decor that makes it feel both luxurious and comfortable. The buffet spread was impressive, covering a wide range of Indian, Asian, and Continental dishes, so there was something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the live counters and the freshly prepared dishes, which added a special touch to the meal.

The quality of the food was excellent. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, with the right balance of spices and presentation. I was particularly fond of the Indian selection, with the butter chicken and biryani standing out as highlights. The dessert section was equally tempting, offering a mix of both traditional and Western sweets.

The staff at Karibu were attentive and courteous, ensuring our table was looked after and promptly clearing plates. I appreciated the attention to detail and how they made sure we had a seamless dining experience. Good ambience, good service. Polite staff, but the big let down is the food itself. Less options for veg starters, be it veg or non veg none of the items are even above average. The paneer was very hard and had no taste at all, The Margerita pizza was really good, the only saviour of all the items in the buffet. The live counters were also not that great, rotis were very dry, all the curries were bland with no taste whatsoever. The worst part is the desserts, the minimal choice of ice cream, and all of them are worse than the road side carts, be it pastries, cheese cake, sweets, none of them are even about average. Total let down in terms of taste, items are not hot even for the first 30 mins of the buffet, welcome drink is also not part of the buffet. Well! This is another amazing place for buffet. With such a wide spread of multi cuisine buffet anyone will not mind forgetting their diet. Had been here for lunch buffet & the restaurant is in the main lobby of the hotel. The spread had fruit drink, starters then live Indian bread counter where one can get hot naans & rotis. They do have variety of assorted breads, Salads, sauces, chats, live Chinese food & dosa counters. Dosa counter I came across for the first time in such restaurants. Also they had wide spread dessert, fresh fruits & ice creams. But desert needs little improvement as the options very basic. Very good options for both veg & non -vegetarians. Overall great food & presentation. Worth the price too. Ambience & interiors are good too. Definitely will visit again....
