02/11/25 We went here two more times, while the food was good, it didn't match our first experience I wrote about below. Some of the dishes were a bit disappointing, like the pesto pasta soup, the baked chicken starter, the mushroom and crispy potato skin. I think they're really good at the continental style dishes, but the others need to be improved. Overall, still a great place to visit.
02/10/25 This is the most deserving 5-star review I have ever given.
The food here is simply amazing. 5-star hotel quality. I would have been happy to pay double the bill amount for the food, which shows how decently its priced as well.
Starting off with the brocolli & cashew soup which was amazing, but that was just the start. The Stuffed Chicken Breast blew us away. The jus (or sauce) that you get with these continental type food require real skill, most of the ones we get in Bangalore are quite average, but here the mushroom jus was excellent and really made this dish amazing. Couldn't stop eating the mashed potatos too. And the Fish en Papillote (which I read is fish covered in parchment) was such a beautiful and unique dish, the fish just falls off the fork and is so soft. That butter rice, with just a hint of orange in the sauce was a perfect side.
After I finished, I felt like I'd eaten something from Masterchef. And the gelato ice cream at the end was the perfect finish. The Biscoff gelato was really smooth and the chocolate baka-lava was great too. I had been to Amore recently for their gelato, and I preferred the ones here.
Overall, this has become one of my favourite restaurants, if not the favourite restaurant for me in Bangalore. This is the first time I asked to speak to the chef, Mr. Murali, and must say he and his team do a fine job. Hoping for many more great...
Read moreThe ambience is understated, bistro like and I loved it. Menu has great variety, coffee is excellent and there are a lot of choices. The staff is friendly, lots of smiles.
But, a lot of tightening has to be done. Since they are new, so maybe it can be excused, or maybe not.
The garnish of the fish and chips had grit - washing of leaves has to be improved. The cheese of the pizza is bland and needs some character/ flavour. The staff needs to discuss sequence of orders, as things were served as they came. For example, coffee came before dessert.
Not adequate cutlery at the table.
The desserts definitely need to improve. The sugar content has to come down to bring out the flavours. The cheesecake needs to have a bit of salt. The topping of the biscoff cheesecake was too sweet with no hint of coffee. The bailey's entremet has roasted peanuts which overpowered the bailey's topping. Should be roasted walnuts, pistachio or almonds.
The Gelato are in-house and the filter coffee Gelato was brilliant. Countered the sweetness of the desserts.
Parking can be an issue. There is space for...
