This restaurant has very clean and good Ambiance also fresh atmosphere inside service area. They serve food with well hygienic and tasty. Idly and Vada tastes amazing and vada was very yummy .Dosa was good and normal doesn’t felt wow .They could have enhanced the taste of sambar and Dosa . The defining characteristic of dining here is undoubtedly the ambiance. Stepping into Rajatagiri Palace feels exactly like walking into a 'mini-palace,' a welcome change from the typical city tiffin room. The regal interiors, featuring elegant decor, high ceilings, and warm, inviting lighting, elevate the morning meal from a quick stop to a refined dining experience. Despite being situated at a busy intersection, the atmosphere inside manages to feel cozy yet grand, setting a fantastic tone for the day.
The breakfast spread is a pure vegetarian celebration of South Indian cuisine, with a strong focus on Karnataka specialties. The menu is extensive enough to satisfy both those looking for quick bites and those wanting a leisurely meal. Classics like the Idli and crispy Vada are highly recommended; reviews consistently praise their fresh taste and perfect preparation, often noting the generous portion sizes.
However, the real highlight lies in the local 'bath' preparations. Dishes such as the rich and sweet Kesari Bath, the spicy and savory Khara Bath, and the harmonious blend of the Chow Chow Bath (a combination of both) stand out. These staples are executed with authenticity and flavor. Other favorites like perfectly prepared dosas (though specific types can vary) and Mangalore Buns are also available, ensuring variety.
Service at the restaurant is prompt and impressively courteous. Even during peak morning rush hour, the staff remains attentive, ensuring quick turnaround times for orders—a crucial factor for any popular breakfast spot. While some guests have noted minor issues regarding loud ambient noise due to the location, the delicious, high-quality vegetarian food and the excellent service more than compensate. For anyone looking for a delectable, value-for-money South Indian breakfast served in an unusually elegant setting on Kanakapura Road, Rajatagiri Palace is certainly a...

The hotel is easily locatable as it is located at the very corner/beginning depending on how one sees it. Ambience was good and the fine dine area is very spacious.
Coming to the food, the hotel is completely vegetarian and hence the menu has a lot of options for vegetarians.
My order: Tomato Soup, Masala Papad, Butter Kulcha, Paneer Kohlapuri (asked to be made spicy), Paneer Kaju Masala (asked to be made spicy) and Sweet Lime Soda.
The food was served within 15-20 minutes of ordering and hence the service was very quick. Roopa Bai who took/served my order was very kind and courteous and as are the whole staff. As I had asked both the Paneer side dishes to be made spicy, it wasn't that spicy and that's about the only feedback I had to share with them along with a small feedback for the Tomato Soup to be having a little more tomato flavour/essence.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Sudhakar, who was humble and really courteous and approached us himself to check on things. We also ended up discussing a lot about the hotel industry and Sudhakar was really appreciative of our feedbacks in general and also in particular to our menu as well. Overall, it was a very pleasant discussion with Sudhakar.
Coming to the parking, the place has a decent amount of free Street parking space and the security would help direct people to these places.
Overall, a great experience and I hope they continue to offer this great service throughout. Here's wishing them all the very best by highly recommending this place to...
Read moreTerrible experience – manager completely ruined it
I had high hopes returning to this restaurant after a great first visit, but the second time was shockingly bad — all because of how poorly the manager handled a simple issue.
We ordered the exact same items as before: coffee, dosas, and Gobi Pepper Dry. Instead, they brought out Gobi Manchurian, which was very clearly not what we ordered — the heavy sauces and flavor made that obvious. I politely pointed it out to the server, who brought over the manager (bald gentleman, didn’t catch his name). What followed was one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve had in a long time.
Instead of acknowledging the mistake or offering a basic solution like replacing the dish, the manager outright insisted it was Gobi Pepper and said he could “just add more pepper and bring it back.” That’s not just unhelpful — it’s disrespectful. He clearly didn’t care about the customer experience and wasn’t interested in resolving the issue. His attitude was defensive, dismissive, and honestly quite rude.
A simple kitchen mix-up turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience because the manager chose to argue instead of take responsibility. It’s a shame — the food here has potential, but with management like this, it’s not worth the visit.
Won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to think twice before expecting any kind of...
