If you are from Vijayawada, Eluru, and Guntur side, you will get the same taste of tiffins as there (provided you like bandi style tiffins available there). I have never found Upma dosa (my favorite) anywhere in Bangalore, except here. There are other tiffin varieties as well, like pesarattu, Upma pesarattu, punugulu, mirchi bajji with onions, carrot masala which I didn't find anywhere in Bangalore. Other foods like onion dibbarooti, I didn't find them in Vijayawada (my native place) also. I tried all the above mentioned tiffins and I liked them a lot, and they reminded me of the tiffins of Vijayawada. I really liked both the chutneys coconut and ginger (kobbari chutney and Allam chutney). You can also find pickles of different kind as well. My friend bought them and as told earlier, the style of pickle and taste of pickles (especially avakaya, mango pickle) reminded me of Vijayawada style and taste of pickles. You can also find different types of podis also. You will also find boorelu ( we call them as poornalu in Vijayawada) which are very tasty. My friend's ordered them for two main events in our college and everyone liked them. No boore was left at the end of the event, but other foods (like veg...
Read moreHidden gem but very arrogant people managing the place. This place serves Andhra style breakfast and snacks, including Pesarattu (green moong or green gram dosa), Punagu or punagulu (a type of pakora), and of course other varieties of idli and dosa. They also serve sweet and spicy chutneys that is pure Andhra experience. This is a very small place with only 2 tables to sit. The owners use disposable plates that is good for hygiene. However, when somebody leaves a dirty plate on the table, there is nobody to clear that. When I went to this place last week with my family, the table had 2 used, dirty plates left by someone else. I politely requested the owner to get those removed. However, he very rudely told me to either clean it myself or find some other place to eat. I walked out with my family. That was a very bad experience. They have lots of customers ordering through Zomato and Swiggy, so they don't need customers like me. Hope they will atleast behave properly with...
Read moreRating is for the behavior of the owner who refuses to give more chutney even for dine-in when there's food (idly, dosa) without chutney in plate, let alone parcel. Another time, he came to me and advised to not consume this much of chutney. He treats like I'm a beggar asking only for chutney without paying for food. When asked chutney for lemon rice parcel, he refused and laughed shockingly saying nobody gives chutney for lemon rice. On another day, I had put half dosa from my plate to my own box since I could eat only half and didn't want to waste food and also b.y.o.b, the owner saw this and got infuriated inspite of the place having a board that reads 'Don't waste food'. Never seen such an embarrassing behavior for doing something that everybody...
