McDonald's — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I visited your outlet for lunch and used the UPI scanner connected to my RuPay Credit Card for payment. After making the payment, the POS did not indicate that the transaction was successful. I inquired with the staff, and they mentioned it might be a network issue and suggested I try again, which I did. Unfortunately, this resulted in the amount being debited four times from my account, yet the payment still did not reflect on your POS system.

Following the staff's suggestion, I proceeded with my meal. Even after finishing, your POS still failed to show my payment. To resolve the issue, I made another payment via UPI, which was successful. However, I now have to go through the tedious process of contacting my bank to reverse the four incorrect transactions. This includes explaining the situation in detail, which is highly inconvenient.

Later that day, I spoke to the manager, but he was unable to offer much assistance other than suggesting I provide feedback to McDonald's. Instead of addressing my concerns, he accused me of arguing when I was merely highlighting the poor service and payment issues at your outlet. This experience reflects extremely poor customer service. I have been forced to endure significant inconvenience due to a network issue on your end.

As a customer, I expect better service from a reputed business enterprise like McDonald’s. It is disappointing that a company of your scale, with substantial resources, lacks reliable payment systems. Skimping on such fundamental requirements will only harm your reputation.

I now have to wait for my bank to process the reversal of the incorrect payments. If this matter is not resolved, I will be compelled to file a complaint with the Consumer Court for lack of service and/or escalate the matter to the RBI Ombudsman for payment disputes.

Update: I had emailed feedback@mcdonaldsindia.com but received no response. Submitting feedback appears to be a waste of time. If your issue remains unresolved, I recommend filing a complaint in the Consumer Court—it might be the only way to prompt action.

Aftermath: After two months, the incorrect payments were finally refunded—something I had almost forgotten about. However, this outlet still faces persistent payment issues. It’s better to avoid this...

Me and my friends have been visiting this McD for quite a long time but today was worse . They messed up our orders so bad. For context we ordered large meal but they gave us a regular sized drink but even after asking twice they said it was large. Then we thought may be the size was reduced but then when we checked it was not reduced but by the time we had eaten everything to be honest but still we wanted to clarify if it was a large sized drink but the manager said no it was regular . So we questioned why did their staff said it was large , so he went to the cashier and before even asking the cashier said that yes they ordered large meal. I mean u knew we ordered a large meal but still gave a regular sized drink , okayy . And the second thing is we ordered oreo softie but she brought us a regular softie and when told that we ordered a Oreo softie she just sprinkled some Oreo biscuits crumbs and brought that no way the staff can be so messy and clumsy and literally forget the order even after telling them three flipping times . They literally scam nowadays. I am never coming to McD ever . I'll better go to burger King and have a few options with better...

Unreliable Party Booking Experience at McDonald's

Our recent experience with party booking at McDonald's left much to be desired. We had booked for a birthday celebration, with the assurance that no other party would be scheduled during our allotted time slot of 7 to 9 pm. However, upon arrival, we were shocked to find another party in full swing.

This blatant disregard for our booking left us feeling deceived and disappointed. It's clear that McDonaload cannot be trusted when it comes to party reservations. I strongly advise future patrons to insist on written confirmation for any bookings, as verbal promises are evidently not reliable.
