We chose this spot for a casual evening bite, exploring a range of dishes on the menu. While the Spring Rolls and Potato Wedges left us wanting a bit more, the Alfredo Pasta was a definite highlight, delighting our taste buds with its perfect blend of flavors.
However, the Steamed Veg Momos proved to be a misstep; their frozen nature resulted in a lack of desired softness, and the vegetables inside retained an unexpected crunch.
On the beverage front, the Mojito was a refreshing choice, offering a burst of freshness, but the Guava Nice 'n' Spice, unfortunately, failed to impress. It lacked the anticipated flavor profile and didn't contribute positively to our overall dining experience.
When it comes to the price point, it's worth noting that the menu seemed a bit on the expensive side, with many items priced between 150 to 200 rupees. This might not align with the perceived value, especially considering the additional GST charges. For a closer look at the menu and its prices, feel free to check out the uploaded pictures.
As this establishment is relatively new, we observed a limited number of table attendants – only three in total. Interestingly, these same individuals were also responsible for table cleaning duties. Unfortunately, during our visit, we noticed a concerning practice: they were not washing their hands after clearing plates. This hygiene lapse was a notable aspect that detracted from an otherwise potential positive...
Read moreThis is a proper resturant pretending to be a Mithai shop. There could be some tax issues involved here where Mithai shops may be getting preferential tax treatment compared to restaurants. You will notice a lot of floating waiters while no one is behind the sweet counters. It is not possible to notice even the traditional billing counters found in all sweet shops. The sweet counters looks like an afterthought compared to restaurant. Most likely, sweet items are fake props. No one came to buy sweets while I was there for 3 minutes.
They seems to have unlimited supply of Khatai. Litti chokha should not be on the menu. Khatai and Stale curd would be an amazing combination instead.
It's a horrible preparation of litti chokha with too much khatai in litti filling. Additionally, litti filling is soggy. It cannot be soggy.
Papdi chat curd is not good tasting. It is putrid tasting. Use better ingredients for food preparation please.
Prices are reasonable. Service is good. Menu is properly readable. Not many sweet items listed on restaurant menu. Ambience is a bit tacky and unaesthetic due to overuse of mirrors. Furniture is good quality. Food delivery is reasonable time. Good nice cutlery given. Tea cups are nice touch.
Yet another pure North Indian experience in south Bengaluru. Kannadigas are rightfully incensed ;-) Darshinis and MTRs etc are getting replaced with North Indian...
Read moreWe, a group of 12 people, went for lunch to Mithai Mahal, at Sai Baba Mandir Road, Arekere, last Saturday.
The ambience at the restaurant was good and the staff were cordial. We were happy to see the choices available in every category of dishes. Everyone ordered their favorite dish and we shared about 15 types of dishes, amongst ourselves. To name a few, we liked Maharaja Platter, Malai Paneer Tikka, Veg Spring Roll, Paneer Pan Fried Momos, Dragon Paneer Sizzler, Sizzling Brownie and Hot Jalebi with Rabdi. All foods were served, in a short time of placing the orders and delicious.
The air-conditioning was optimal despite hot summer in Bengaluru. The capacity of the restaurant is good that it can take care of the customers during its peak time.
Our get-together was a hit and we feel that this is one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood and the most reasonable one. We could pick up a few savories as ‘take-aways’ from their shops, as the varieties and display were very tempting.
Our next destination will be ‘Tales of Flamingo’, which is above Mithai Mahal and has dance floor, along with drinks and dine facilities.
Last but not the least, it’s worth mentioning that the restaurant had a parking lot for about 40 cars at its basement level and you don’t have to park the car at the side of the road.
We strongly recommend Mithai Mahal to have a good dining experience, at...
